    Love the collection. I have a friend who has a complete Canadian collection (used) from 1886 onwards. Since the early 1980s he buys the stamps and mails them to himself. He also has a complete Australian collection built through penpals and trading. Takes up a lot of room in his house

    I loved seeing your storage system! Thanks for sharing it. I've been collecting for nearly 50 years off and on, but would still consider myself an advanced beginner. SO much to learn!

      Yea there’s way too much to learn and just trying to keep up with all the new issues! In early spring I have to put stamps down till about fall because I’m so busy with grapes and blueberries and when I pick it back up, gosh I’m so behind in a fun way though!

      Stamps fit into my winter plans as well. I'm in NH, so Dec thru March involves first the willows for the local florist, cuttings, charcoal, then maple tapping. When I'm not doing that or tending the animals, I get to play with stamps. Yay!@@adamhuffman3354

    Great video as usual. Ok please start a zoom stamp club I will be your first member. Live in small town in Pa no clubs near me. I think for around 160.00 a year you can have unlimited zooms. Divided it up with members and add to dues. Just think of the fun we could have and the stamps we could swap.

      I think my youtube channel's the best I can do for now, between work and family, there's only so many hours for stamps... always glad to see you join the convo tho!

    Saw a great bar type precancel in your Canadian collection. The Edward 7 cent (cat 92). Greater value than you gave it. My 1997 Standard Precancel catalog has it at $150 CDN.
    Thanks for sharing on your videos. You have helped bring back my love for stamps. Cheers,

    Thanks for sharing some of your Canadian stamp collection. Canada is also one of the too many countries and topics I'm collecting. Yep, the "Blue Nose" is one of the worlds greatest postage stamp designs. Keep having fun with your stamp hobby !

    Such a very neat storage system I’m honestly in need of something similar. I don’t really have enough good condition albums/stock books I’m planning to use as an album for my whole collection. Bought two new stock books recently, one for Bolivia (and maybe some other South American countries) and the other will be for modern Germany. But then I realized I need way more space for Germany (West, Old Germany (states and thurn and taxis and such) DDR, Berlin, Zones after the war all don’t have a dedicated album yet...) and also I need an stockbook to be used as an actual stockbook to hold duplicates and not just as an album 😅
    And then I decided to bid on another auction with even more German stamps. Also I bought some kiloware when we were in Germany for a bit a while ago. (Live a five minutes drive from the border) Also still need to order my poor neglected Netherlands collection, if there’s stamps belonging to that collection that still have hinges to be freed from so I can’t start yet until I’ve fixed that lmao. I keep creating more work for myself. Have these and so many other stamp related projects going on. Just came back from vacation, and I’m happy to be getting back to stamps. Hopefully I’ll be getting many things done before college starts again and I’m moving into my own place.

      Good to hear from you! And I'm in the same boat... working a lot on my USA collection lately, but I'm still adding to my others... so many fun projects! I really want to share my GB collection but it's not quite in the shape I want it yet... all in due time. :)

    Great assortment of Canadian stamps. Compared with my own collection, it´s very different because I only got mint issues between 1910 and 1973. And I must confess that the Canadians are more or less an addition to my collection of U.S. stamps. Your classic and semi-classic section is a stunner ! 👌Keep it up, and see you on the next one. Love it! Old Canada has some great designs. My subspecialty is around rarity cancel markings - looking for specific little towns and such….a nice clear cancel from a tiny little post office will also up the value…and I love the idea of some local postmaster who would have hand cancelled all the mail from their post! That doesn’t happen anymore!
    I am particularly fascinated by remote or northern Canada cancels! Even more rare!

    Some nice stamps but Davo is somewhat out of my price range.I managed to purchase a large collection of Canada a year or so ago and expanded my Specialized Scott's albums to 2001. I traded an older US specialized catalogue with a friend for a new unitrade in order to find out about the early Queens and colors. alas haven't finished my other projects in order to move and or see what I want to swap to my albums yet. so good luck with your Davo venture.

    • @silkontheweb
      @silkontheweb  ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too, honestly... I'm waiting for a good used one to come along... does the new Unitrade have the different colors for the later Queens? The 2017 just has the earlier ones, was a bit disappointed

    • @johnscamardo2145
      @johnscamardo2145 ปีที่แล้ว

      well mine has some color and varieties on the maple leaf issues. not much on the color issues.does mention color variations due to paper changes at the front. of unitrade

      A sports cards store has the top loaders... I think Target/Walmart does too... and I made a template for their cards in Excel and had Kinkos print and cut them to size.
