I’m not a Muslim but I always fast during Ramadan for 5 years now. Edit: Why would I need reasons (and explain to strangers why), despite being non-Muslim and being a passive non-religious person, that I’m fasting during Ramadan - same way I’m celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah & Divali. I only have one religion and it’s called “Humanity”.
This is a big help for me, its my first Ramadan also as a muslim. I just converted few months ago. Thank you for sharing this video🙂 means a lot to me.
I'm christian, but I feel this opens my mind to the amazing aspects of the Islamic faith. I may not understand a lot of how it all works, but I feel it helps me show how the faith works and can better appreciate the beauty of it outside of media portrayals and propaganda. I hope you all are blessed. Salaam.
I'm an Indonesian Catholic and I love the festivity of Ramadhan, especially when I join my friends for the big iftar dinners. Friends who are otherwise very preoccupied with jobs and adulting and surviving with a lone meal-times will spare more time for others and for joyous dinners in Ramadhan. It was really a month of fun and good foods!
when i was still in high school, i had a muslim friend. one time, when she was fasting, her classmates felt guilty that they could do their usual lunch-sharing at lunch, and she couldn't join in to eat and gossip with them. her classmates devised a plan to not eat during the whole day and have a feast at sundown so that the whole class could eat with her. it was one of the best moments in high school. i went to their classroom and they were having a party. they were having a karaoke, a bunch of food, and just having a good time.
I joined Ramadan to support my friends at work. It changed a lot in my life so far. I don't crave sugar anymore and I'm doing a lot of extra things at work to keep my mind off of food. I might keep this going on but just have my liquids and maybe a small lunch.
That's awesome Khayre. The Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) encouraged us to fast regularly outside of Ramadan on Mondays and Thursdays. So you may want to give that a try. Also, look into a book called The Obesity code, that breaks down why we really get overweight and how fasting is really the best cure. Spoiler alert, it has to do with our insulin levels being too high from constantly eating and snacking. Fasting gives your body a rest and time for your insulin levels to drop, hence why your sugar cravings go away. And finally Khayre my brother in humanity, if you found fasting beneficial for your body, please look into Islam which is beneficial for your soul. For this life and the one to come!

Ramadan is really good way to get rid of some eating related problems or swearing. I was eating my nails before I started to fast but after one month of fasting made me get rid of the problem. If you have problems like drug addiction or alcohol addiction it helps. For examples some of my friends stop drinking all together that month. It is great for self-control
I am so proud to be part of this true religion. I fasted for the whole month never missed one of my five daily prayers, I cooked for my two neighbours so much also for the children on my road. Both of my neighbours are none Muslims as our command of ALLAH does not say feed your muslim neighbours it says take care of your neighbours no matter what religion. Throughout the whole Ramadan I read the most beautiful book of ALLAH the holy QURAN,and I still continue to read after ramadan! It's obligatory to do so. Gave charity as we all are supposed to do for this month. I felt so full of energy! Alhumdolillah we as Muslims are fully programmed so we feel no hunger no thirst! You should never ever over eat once you open your fast! The smallest portion is the best! Watch and see from scientists research how beneficial it is for our body! So many none Muslims have started to fast! Trust me its real good effect comes with five prayers along with it. Otherwise it's just a hunger strike and feels so difficult! Today Isalam is one of the most fastest growing religion on this earth subhan Allah! We are all one big family! Hope all of you guys who participated in this experience felt very positive! Thanks for your lovely upload!
It's kind of a fallacy to regard Ramadan as a holiday/celebration. Ramadan is a religious observance - that also happens to be fun, joyful, uniting and exciting etc. But it's purpose is spirituality and worship, so it's not actually a festival. The actual Islamic celebration is called Eid.

Ramadan is the time where I reflect on what's happened in the past year in my personal life and how I could make myself better for the rest of the whole year. It's great when you share a meal with your Family or Friends.
That’s amazing. I am Albanian and muslim but we do not practice islam like arabian countries so we may be muslim but not everybody fasts or prays. In my family only my mother prays and used to fast so I would watch her and I wanted to fast since I had 10 years old. @@mirzada24 I'm used to fasting in the way muslims do for Ramadhaan but from my experience thus far it feels like a fast of the mind where I am challenged by my thoughts daily but I pray Allah makes it easy for me
Ramadan is 2 months away, me and my friends are missing Ramadan TOO MUCH, we miss the family visiting, the Ramadan vibes, the food, and everything in between.
Wow beautiful. Shout out from Johannesburg South Africa. We have a massive Muslim community here. It's awesome seeing how Islam is growing strong in America. Ramadan is a month of mercy and finding our way back to our creator so that the months to follow after the month are spent with more connection to Allah. It's a cleansing and grounding month. It is a spiritual preparation for the rest of the year until the next Ramadan... not just for one month a year but for and everyday spiritual upliftment. Starve the desires..feed your soul.
I am Muslim myself and I appreciate you guys making this vid about ramadan. This holy month is not always about talking with friends and family but, its about making amends with one's self and becoming a more righteous and better person.
Salaam Yara, so proud of you for fasting for the first time! I hope you continue to fast every Ramazan insha'Allah and may it bless the rest of your life even outside of Ramazan!
watching this vid got me so nostalgic and made me miss Ramadan so much. The month can be difficult at some points but you always find yourself missing it once it's over. Ramadan gives me such a warm, homey feeling. It's one of the only times i really get to see my friends and extended family. Ramadan is just around the corner and I AM SO EXCITED I'M COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!!!!
ramadan is so much fun, so much family and friends, and after that eid as well, we get to help so much people, and it feels good, ive been fasting since i was 5, thankfully it’s always been easy for me, even if my non muslim friends are eating it’s easy.
One of he best videos on TH-cam, with such an important role it has to me and how important it is to my faith and culture, I couldn't have expressed how Ramadan truly is in a better way, thank you so much for making this video and really clarifying the true meaning of Ramadan to others who don't fully recognize what it is, and the vast benefits it has in bringing together one amazing community
That’s a LOT of food for Suhoor, personally I recommend eating porridge with some fruits and honey and a glass of water. And AVOID eating huge amounts in the evening, the bloatedness ain’t worth it 😂
I've only visited amman like 3 times in my life but old people there are so sweet and they all love children so much it's so wholesome, especially my aunt and grandma.
I’m Muslim I speak Arabic I’m 10 and I’m from Palestine 🇵🇸 And Egypt 🇪🇬 it’s nice to fast see others fast and become Muslim and Evan be born in a Muslim family who prays and knows what we can and can’t eat
The trick for ramadan is eat the less you can during iftar so you will be soo hungry during suhoor where you eat as much as you can... take some fruit and drink a lot of water...
Ramadan is like a one month long festival. People come closer to each other, they become kind to each other, help each other with everything, . Yeah, it's a celebration.
I come from a muxed background and I always try to explain to my mum how rewarding fastinf actually is! People think of it as a kind of torture, but you get so used to it that you dont even feel hunger anymore. Your body adjusts to your eating habbits. It teaches you strength and willpower. It brings you closer to your family and relatives. It encourages you to be a nice person, to not swear and to donate as much as possible. This video is amazing! Yoh did a great job in explaining the purpose of this Holy month!
I’m not a Muslim but I always fast during Ramadan for 5 years now.

@@mirzada24 I'm used to fasting in the way muslims do for Ramadhaan but from my experience thus far it feels like a fast of the mind where I am challenged by my thoughts daily but I pray Allah makes it easy for me
@@nikkita98 how was it
Ramadan is 2 months away, me and my friends are missing Ramadan TOO MUCH, we miss the family visiting, the Ramadan vibes, the food, and everything in between.
FUN FACT: Suhoor is the earliest form of breakfast (other than the iftar dinner) ever to be made in human history.
Thank you!!! This was beautifully explained. My daughter and I will be observing Ramadan together for the first time tomorrow.😊
I love him and I love this Channel. ♥ Ramadan Kareem

7:55 wow!! It's amazing to see other people trying to start a zero-waste lifestyle ✨✨✨
@T SA True 👍👍 But plastic is new and the whole world should reduce producing and using it and recycle as much as we can!✨🌍
This was very eye opening, thank you for this content
Love it very interesting!
Starve the desires..feed your soul.
ramzan means.. road to peace and harmony and heaven In hereafter .. Alhamdulillah..
Less than a 100 days left for Ramadan .Em excited Alhmdulillah اللهم بلغنا رمضان

Anas Ahmed ❤️ thank you 😊 hope you’re also enjoying
I am Muslim myself and I appreciate you guys making this vid about ramadan. This holy month is not always about talking with friends and family but, its about making amends with one's self and becoming a more righteous and better person.
Ramadan Kareem everyone. I can't believe how time flies. Ramadan is almost done. This was a well done video Yara.
Salaam Yara, so proud of you for fasting for the first time! I hope you continue to fast every Ramazan insha'Allah and may it bless the rest of your life even outside of Ramazan!
Simply loved it. Ramadan Mubarak.
Omg this is the best way to show what ramadan is for the most Muslims. I love it especially the long nights with your friends and family
thankyou for highliting ramadan positivity
watching this vid got me so nostalgic and made me miss Ramadan so much.
In Indonesia community iftar is also very common. Even other religious people regularly participate it with their office or school mates.
ramadan is so much fun, so much family and friends, and after that eid as well, we get to help so much people, and it feels good, ive been fasting since i was 5, thankfully it’s always been easy for me, even if my non muslim friends are eating it’s easy.
Let us find our great nourishment in seeing the value of others.
MaaSyaaAllah Tabarakallah 💙✨ thank u. Salam from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Ramdan for me is getting bit more close to Allah gaining taqwa.. practicing bit more Qur'an...and bit more of charity and spending time with family 😊
We are currently in a new Ramadan, and your experience through this video made me smile. Thanks, may Allah guide you.
the grandma is cute and cool... the socks are incred!!!
And AVOID eating huge amounts in the evening, the bloatedness ain’t worth it 😂
I've only visited amman like 3 times in my life but old people there are so
sweet and they all love children so much it's so wholesome, especially my aunt
and grandma.
Who's watching this in Ramadan 2020 while in quarantine...
So well articulated and the sheer joy of fasting and ramadan is shown so beautifully!
Ramadan Kareem from Kolkata India 😊
Ramadan is like welcoming back a long lost relative say farewell at the end of the month and there is a ache in your heart to see Ramadan again.
greeeat video!! keep strong on this amazing path and keep practicing InshaAllah Ameen!! well done!!
Ramadan is real happiness ☺️❤️
We call Suhoor sehri in Kashmir or rather in the whole Indian subcontinent
In indonesia we call Sahur or Saur
Suhoor is Arabic, Sehri is in Urdu.
In Farsi we say Sahari too
Sahur 😁
Everyone caĺls it sahoor or sahur or sahar...nothing new in your India
i am watching this now on 2020.i am fasting and enjoying my quarantine
Iam Participating for the first time and I also have up Social Media.. And I’ve been so at Peace 🙏🏽
Ramadan moubarak for every Muslim
So inspiring mashaAllah
Ramadan is like a one month long festival. People come closer to each other, they become kind to each other, help each other with everything, . Yeah, it's a celebration.
Missing suhoor must be a struggle, good luck to everyone this Ramadan.
hee ee 🙏❤️
I come from a muxed background and I always try to explain to my mum how rewarding fastinf actually is! People think of it as a kind of torture, but you get so used to it that you dont even feel hunger anymore. Your body adjusts to your eating habbits. It teaches you strength and willpower. It brings you closer to your family and relatives. It encourages you to be a nice person, to not swear and to donate as much as possible. This video is amazing! Yoh did a great job in explaining the purpose of this Holy month!
I would like to break away from routine and prefer solitude with Allah Swt ...Ramadan 2019 is just around the corner yayy!
The most beautiful times of the year with family and relatives for 30 days! Gatherings for Ramadan always reminds when of Thanksgiving meal.
I haven’t tried fasting hmmmm maybe I’ll. Ask my Muslim friend about it
Hi...i am a muslim.. Wish you luck trying fasting and Ramadhan is around the corner..
ramadan is awesome - I'm not muslim but used to be around many. you never feel alone during ramadan - and iftar is awesome.
