So glad you decided to go. My son now.lives in NYC so I love going to the Strand when I visit. The first time was in early May one year and it was so hot inside wearing layers of clothes. Living in Florida I was not used to it. You are right about Penn Station. My son is the director of the first class lounge which over looks the main floor and I have watched the mad rush you mentioned!
So am I, the decision itself was a big deal for us! 🫣😂 yes, the layers of clothing and then being in the store for long and then so many people… just not the best combination! How cool is it that your son does that for work!!
Glad you got to visit The Strand! I went when I was over there in both 2022 & 2023, when I got there a couple of minutes before opening time, so there were less than a dozen of us there - I still spent a good couple of hours inside though lol. I have to really hold myself back because of how little I can fit in my suitcase to fly home. I'll be going again this summer. I hear you about the mad rush at Penn Station, but I have a tip that could really help you. I will try messaging you via instagram.
