Again, I’m a Packers fan but I enjoy any episode from you guys, whether or not you talk about the Packers. It’s fun having a division where every game matters. I also enjoy the style of your show; knowledgeable, fun segments, never getting to serious about the game, having fun and kicking back with the boys. You have a good mix of personalities on the crew. I wouldn’t change a thing.

my take was the final regular season game of that year, which was also GB/CHI. Chicago wins that game, GB is out of the playoffs, Rodgers never gets his ring, and Bears maybe even get their 2nd.
@FoxtrotYouniform Lovie Smith knew what that GB team was about. He wanted to put them out. Played all of his starters in a meaningless game for seeding. 10-6 record, but it was more of a fake 10-6. They never trailed by more than one score the entire season, and the Rodgers concussion cost them two wins.
Theres a great balance of educated analysis based on both stats/visual performances and horrifically emotional views that just fits my brainwave. Also watching people angrily praise my quarterback after so happily rooting for his downfall means yall have integrity to the truth as a whole.

If you twenty-somethings can bear another sixty-something lecture, I suggest sitting back and taking in the spectacle that is the NFCN in 2024. Don't worry about trying to predict the division winner. Don't fret if the other three teams win on your bye week. Embrace it. You and I all will probably never see a division race like this year. Savor this.
It would be awesome if all 4 NFC North teams make it while the North winner ends up with the # 1 seed. Then, the 3 Wild Card teams beat the other division winners resulting in the final 4 teams in the NFC playoffs residing in the North. It probably won't happen BUT it would be a total flex on the rest of the NFL AND historic dominance. Of course, to complete the deal, the Super Bowl Champion would have to be the last North team standing... 😂

Thank you for the episode! Packers vs Texans: Eric Stokes is the 2nd or 3rd weakest link on the defense, mainly because he's getting bumped down the depth chart. Carrington Valentine and K. Nixon have shown to be better than him so they are getting his snaps. Quay Walker (& the other LB McDuffie) are the weakest links in the Packers defense. Quay routinely gives up catches to the TE and he consistently gives up big runs by being out of position. McDuffie isn't much better BUT Edgerin Cooper has started to overtake him in snaps. The Packers truly don't have a MLB and Quay is the play caller which keeps him on the field and an easy target to exploit for their opponents. Still, the Texans can be run against because of some D-line issues as well as them almost always playing in a nickel defense. Also, Drake Maye threw for 3 TDs against the Texans. I trust Love to at least match Maye. It should be a close game but I think that the Packers need this game a little more and are starting to show signs of figuring things out. Vikings vs Lions: Paul and Ziggy summed it up fairly well. I think if the Vikings find a way to go ahead early like they have in every other game then they should win. However, the Lions are going to be devoted to running the football. That is their identity and they refuse to be dissuaded from it. The Vikings haven't yet really needed to focus on defending the run because once you are up by 17 points most teams feel the need to pass the ball more. I don't see the Lions giving up on the run game easily. Costume ideas: The 3 Amigos (an old movie with Chevy Chase and Steve Martin and Martin Short I think). Y'all could pull off the big Sombreros. I will jump on the Chargers bandwagon. I wanna jump onto Da Bears bandwagon but every time I do an axle breaks. Defense and running the football consistently gets you into the playoffs. It might not result in playoff victories, but it usually gets you there. For Da Bears, Swift has looked great against the Panthers and Jags, but I wanna see it against better teams. Can Da Bears run and pass protect against better quality? If so, they are making the playoffs. The Bengals have beaten the Panthers and the Giants, while finding ways to lose against everyone else. Granted, the Giants and Daniel Jones aren't quite as atrocious as what the media portrays, but I still wouldn't go so far as counting that as a quality win. Some teams just end up not playing to the quality of their own talent. While I see the star power, I just don't see them playing like a cohesive group. It's disjointed and a rather poor product put out on the field. Trust a team when they find a way to lose, because they are telling you the truth.
Yall missed the obvious answer on the biggest NFCN matchup. Easily the biggest relatively recent NFCN regular season showdown game was Packers-Bears final game of the 2010 season. If the Bears win that game, the Packers are out of the playoffs, and then they dont make the superbowl winning run that got Rodgers his ring - a run which went through Chicago in the NFC Championship game - meaning that if the Bears beat the Packers in that final regular season game, there is a very realistic world where the Bears were SB winners that year instead.

You guys are overestimating the commanders by a lot. The ravens were entirely in control of that game and the commanders defense could do nothing about it. If you think the commanders are beating the bears you’re high as hell. The bears have a significantly better defense than the ravens, better corners, d line and lbs and a better play calling coach. The commanders are getting smoked in two weeks.
The Bears defense is substantially better, but the Ravens offense is light years better than the Bears. No reason to think that the Commanders, who have played very high quality football, can't compete.
PFF has Detroit as the best D in the NFL. 84.3... Pittsburgh is next at 80.6. Minnesota is 9th at 71.2. PFF isn't everything but saying the Vikings are the BEST in the NFL "by a good bit" is a HUUUUUGE stretch. "Goff isn't good under pressure" Haven't heard THAT before. Good luck getting to him. But by advanced performance metrics, the Vikings D does come out on top. 100% right that getting Goff to face pressure is a huge challenge with the line the Lions have and his quick passing game. Flores is going to have to pull out all the stops. I think he can - but it's certainly reasonable to think he can't.
