As a Texans fan, there's two fanbases that I'm really fond of right now, and that's the Vikings and the Packers for this show specifically. I can honestly say this is the only non-Texans football podcast that I listen to on the regular, so I find myself heavily invested in the NFC North. It's all love🤝Packers nation, I'm looking forward to our match-up this Sunday!

As a Packers fan, Ziggy is 100% accurate on Stokes 😂
His PFF was above average in every game and he was never the bottom gradded DB in any game this season. So not sure why this is a sentiment.

Never in my life did I think I would subscribe to a Vikings podcast as a Packers fan. Guys, the fact that you’re not toxic, and actually are level headed about the game of football is amazing. Too many podcasts out there making outlandish takes just for clicks. Keep it up!
This game being in the noon slate is ridiculous. There is no excuse for this game not being flexed to Sunday Night Football or at the very least, a standalone 3:25 game on CBS since it’s the Nantz crew.
Except for the 5-0 Vikes vs the 4-1 Lions should be flexed.

Haven’t given up on Stokes. Reduced snaps after his knee rehab and because of Green Bay’s depth. He can still cover.

Stokes is struggling, its true. Im just glad that he is the team's weaker CB. It was awful when I would look at the field and see Kevin King and Chandon Sullivan out there.
Not sure if it's been the injuries that have ruined Stokes career, but it sucks to watch.
He was objectively a good corner his rookie season, and it's just went downhill since. I really thought after his rookie year, he'd turn into an elite corner.
Well if you notice we haven't played him like that last week he played, but we mainly had Nixon on the boundary you're exactly right Stokes has definitely struggled... but what I love about Jeff Hafley is that he sees the weaknesses, and corrects them for example he took Stokes out in certain situations, and he put Nixon on the opposite side of Jaire, and he put in work.
Agree. He was never the same after his injury. Some people just have that body where it never fully recover. Look at Tonyan. After his knee injury he lost a lot of speed

Yeah, no. Valentine would come in in the dime package. Nixon moved to the outside opposite Alexander, with Bullard in the slot in the nickel.

Love leads the League in TD passes and missed 2 games. Love is playing like the MVP of the league.
Love is tied for second. I think Mayfield has a few more
He also is tied for 2nd in INTs. He needs to keep up his TD production while limiting his turnovers
@@venom18s Fair point, but half of those are more circumstantial (WR tips/slips) than a result of poor decisions from Love. He still has some things to clean up, but he's looking more dangerous each week, so I'm confident.

@@venom18s half of his INTs are drops or slips by the WRs, doesn't really tell the whole story, and even the other one against the rams, was a freak play versus a tell tale sign of how he's playing, the vikes game was just one of them ones, the second half of that game till now he has 9tds and 2 INT one on a blown pass protection run away and one on a slip by his receiver
I want the Lions to win because the Vikings already have an advantage over the Packers. We’ve still got 2 games against the Lions so we have a better shot of getting ahead of them than the Vikings.
A lot of context for Love's numbers under pressure, thats also when he was hurt and couldnt move. Hes a lot better against pressure when he can actually move and escape

I love this podcast. You guys can view things realistically without fanboying or with rival goggles that make you hate other NFC North teams. I’m a die hard packers fan, but I honestly will be rooting for whichever NFC North team makes it to the superbowl. Best division in the NFL by far, not even close.

Packers secondary is deadly though, Cardinals wouldn’t make any passes over like 10-15 yards all game.
The rookie safety Evan Williams is currently graded #1 of all safeties on PFF. McKinney is #4. I know PFF isn’t everything but it’s worth noting. Nixon has been doing well at outside corner, and Jaire is Jaire. Rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is playing extremely well, taking over the starting role of MacDuffie.
Stroud is going to take more shots than Murray did, and our secondary should shine.
I had wanted the Texans to get Edgerrin cooper. Now our top 3 linebackers are all banged up and could miss time.
I think PFF is everything.

I think we got this one because there’s moments when Houston’s offense stalls out, it’s gonna be loud, Houston’s oline is gonna shoot themselves in the foot and once we get a lead I think we’ll maintain it and win. It’s definitely gonna be a great game for sure but GoPackGo💛💚🧀

One understated part of the Packers offense is if they can get the law firm of Jacobs, Wilson, and Brooks going. They are running the ball like it's the 60's.

Packers fan here, you're 100% right about Eric Stokes however he doesn't see the field anymore. Our rookies are shining bright with Evan Williams as the second highest rated safety in the league

With Evan Williams at safety and Bullard in the slot this Packers defense has gotten significantly better. Evan Williams, as a rookie, is the top rated safety per PFF stats. He is becoming a game changing player for this Packers defense. Add in Cooper also as part of the GB D improving the past two weeks.

@brianjennings1624 quay is just bad as middle linebacker, but outside he is actually really good, especially when it comes to getting pressure he is excellent, they are just using him wrong unfortunately
Haven’t been putting Stokes on the outside. Have been putting K9 out there, Bullard nickel and Williams at safety oppo X. Been working great

As a Houston native Packers fan, it's the one time every like 4-5 years where I'll root against the Texans 😂.... also you're absolutely on point about my boy Stokes, but plz Stroud throw to our safeties on Sunday 🙃. The thing about Mixon is that he’s a real pro.. If the holes are there he’ll get yardage.. He never fumbles and hopefully I’m not jinxing him.. He’s not spectacular, but he’s real solid and very dependable is game situations..

@@Byctvyb I dont think you can play a lot of man vs the packers without blitzing the F out of Love and hoping it gets home. They have too many good WRs and they will find a mismatch somewhere. Especially with the time their O line will give them, its still a top 5 pass blocking unit.

I’m a packer fan and started listening to you guys because of your honest takes on things…. Yes Stokes is a weak point. I’d say he’s been a below to average corner. He has been pretty good if guys are just going vertical.
We will see this match up in the superbowl in the next couple years I think.
As a Texan's fan, this feels like it could go either way. That said the Texan's secondary is depleted because of injuries, so it starting to smell like Packers win. Should be a good game either way.

I think the packers will have to come up with a creative gameplan to get on the board, and definitely need a pass rush on sunday. Hoping we get atleast 3-4 sacks.

The Texans will be missing LB's#1 & #2, CB#2, S#1 and the backups are XFL level. There is not a chance in hell we (Texans) win this game.
PS - Packers interior DL will eat the Texans guards (both) for lunch. ie, no run game and Stroud facing consistent pressure in his face.

Stokes played 16 snaps last week. Hard to take advantage of someone who is on the bench
Eric Stokes isn’t our worst Cornerback, that’s probably Ballentine (if we even have him anymore). He can step up when he has to, just not two games in a row. If J-money is out for more than one game, his nerves fail a little bit.

Nailed on Eric Stokes! He's the biggest liability on our defense. Kesean Nixon is even getting more minutes than him. And with the emergence of Evan Williams, Stokes may played his last year as a Packer.

Regarding Stokes - 11.3 yards per reception allowed, and a 111.1 passer rating. Not good at all. Would like to see Valentine take even more of his snaps.

Higher completion rate and also 2 less interceptions but played 2 more games. Obviously love has more touchdown passes but saying no stats back it up is a lie. I’m sure most people have cj as a top 5 QB

Eric Stokes isn’t their starting cornerback anymore lol. He only played a handful of snaps last week…
He was out there for 30% of the snaps. Definitely enough to generate some big plays.
