[Vietnam] Police Trucks & Ambulances Responding Siren & Lights!

- Captured here are several different police vehicles and ambulances responding in downtown Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon). Some of the police cars and trucks were conducting official business as part of a public security meeting in District 1. The white truck and the transporter in the last clip are both prisoner transports. The BMW patrol car belongs to the traffic police.

I'm vietnamese and this is my first time i see bmw police car, that really really awesome, i'm living in Ho Chi Minh and i usually saw Toyota police car and some Mitsubishi...

That's disappointing to see that people don't yield to emergency vehicles the same way they do in other countries.
Cabell Mercer It’s different in every country. There are good and bad examples in all places. Generally people need to have more awareness of how and why to yield to emergency services.

Wow, I never knew that there also have BMW and Nissan police cars in Saigon.I was only saw Toyota Camry,Ford Ranger (both old and new models),some small pick-up truck,prison van like in video,motorcycle and even some unmarked police cars like Toyota Hiace(!).Also great video as always Tim.

I found out that the one was seized 's 745i while the 530i (the one video) was bought by VietNamese's govement for service big,sepcial events.

Nice catches! Would you say that the CSGT BMW is a rare catch? Most of the CSGT or CS vehicles I've seen are either older vehicles or the donated Camrys. It also looks like the BMW was bought from a dealership, because it looks like there's a dealership sticker right below the passenger side brake light.
Speaking of vehicles, does a car with just CS markings mean that car is meant for police response? If so, the car at 2:39 really needs to be replaced!

CS means police and CSGT means traffic police. Tbh police cars in Vietnam sure lacks standardization since for pursuit they mostly use bikes.
Damn you can barley hear those sirens and some lights are barley visible also
Regarding people's concerns on the lightbars and sirens:
The majority of lightbars on vehicles are China made LTF lightbars. The most common kind seen on the first ambulance and on the Kia at 1:18 are copies of an SVP Impulse lightbar. You can occasionally get different variants like the Streethawk copy seen on the green Fuso truck at 0:34. The remaining lightbars are anyone's guess. They could be Korean, Japanese or Chinese copies of these. These lightbars tend to degrade rather quickly. Most of the LED setup ones are also poorly designed and dont have off-axis or sometimes even side lighting.
On sirens, most of what's in use in south east Asian countries are Chinese made CJB sirens. You can find quite a lot of videos on them if you're curious on what they sound like. Sadly, even these tend to be copies of Haztec or SVP equipment too. To add insult, many of these sirens are falsely branded as "Federal Signal" and often have labels like "made in the USA" on them. It also doesnt help that the sirens exterior casings look almost identical to an actual PA300, except for two switches being added on the side.

But there are not many pursuit in VN, just police checkpoint so we dont need modern police car
But despite the old VN police car, the VN police officers are very good and brave

Honestly, the siren heard in the first clip is the most bizarre sounding siren I've ever heard.

I am Vietnamese, I realize that people's awareness is quite poor when I do not give way to priority vehicles, and the infrastructure is not synchronized.
I am a Vietnamese too the drivers are so careless over there smh that’s why cars and motorbike accidents always happen but in Saigon there’s less accidents my family and I visit Saigon VN sometimes to relieve stress

If I was in your position as an ambulance driver in Saigon; I would say this over the megaphone at traffic: "Hãy di chuyen sang bên đuòng và cho phép tôi đi qua; Tôi là môt lái xe cúu thuong." Translated from Vietnamese to English; I said: "Please move to the side of the street and allow me to pass; I am an ambulance driver."
