  • Captured here are a variety of emergency ambulances responding with lights and siren in the notorious 'sea of scooters' that is Ho Chi Minh City's rushhour traffic. Vietnam's biggest metroplis, which is also known as Saigon, has up to 10 million motorized scooters on its streets every day!
    In this video you can see ambulances responding to and from the 115 People's Hospital in District 10, which is one of the busiest emergency rooms in the city.

    Not gonna lie, I watched this in full on at least three occasions before finally commenting lol. The Saigon ambulance videos are probably the thing I look forward to the most from you!
    And wow, still got a pretty good mix of light packages and siren types in here! But one thing that never changes is the motorists' reaction (or lack thereof) to the ambulances haha

      Thank you Jimmy! I know I can count on you to appreciate these catches :)
      And these clips also show a different perspective/ part of town as well (instead of the same crazy intersection all the time lol).
      Yea, as you know the variety is the real fun of filming in Saigon, but seeing them struggle through traffic is frustrating of course.

      A very stressful and frustrating job. Especially in those chaotic traffic conditions. But the people in Vietnam do what they can to improve things.

    they really need to upgrade there lights and sirens if they want to be seen and heard , and a menacing bull bar on the front wouldn't hurt .

      I agree with you about the lights but why would ambulances want bull bars? Tbh, This "overfashionizaton" of emergency vehicles is dumb.

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can also get pretty packed there, major Chinese cities struggle with the dramatic increase in private car ownership. However their advantage is that they usually have far better infrastructure funding/ development and wider roads than many places in Southeast Asia.
      I would say the worst rush hour traffic conditions that I have seen are in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Saigon and Kuala Lumpur.

    • @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses
      @TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No they do not, although it could be a good concept for the future. Overall Vietnam does not even have a functioning emergency medical system. There is hardly any standard for emergency response, and the state-run system is complete chaos.
      The first ever international standard emergency service was introduced to Vietnam by a private organization only a few years ago.
      I made a documentary on the subject, which you can check out here: th-cam.com/video/DNe0a9zYNDQ/w-d-xo.html
