I had no idea I could find help on TH-cam, so now I have run into you and your dolls and appreciate your effort at making such beautiful dolls. I bought the fabric today.
I have been collecting photos and patterns of Tilda dolls for about six months now. Not until I found your videos did I feel like I could give it a try. I am not a seamstress so I was intimidated regarding making the clothes. I feel very confident now in going forward with all I am learning in your tutorials. When I was a small child and saw my first pictures of Moscow, I thought it was the most beautiful city, and that it must be a place where fairies live, and was shocked when I learned it was real. I have always wanted to visit. It seems the Russian people are imbued with all sorts of wonderful art living inside of them, and the world is better for it. Your English is wonderful. Oh, the zig zag scissors are called "pinking shears" in English, but you must hide them if you have young sons, as I did. Your dolls are absolutely beautiful and since I now have a pattern for a Tilda doll, I will follow your tutorial closely to try to make one as well as you have done. Hi, it is not very hard just keep in mined - fabric looks better if it different print . For exempla flowers and stripes or flowers and polka dots.... lace the best looks is 2-3 not more....good luck. wish you best.Irina

Thank you so much for your thorough instruction…so many helpful tips! I found wax paper sheets (81/2 x11”) and copy the pattern on my printer so I can iron the pieces to the fabric for tracing…works great and is reusable.

Yes, thank you for such a Helpful video. Your attention to detail makes all the difference for those of us that are just beginning. An area that I need help is a problem of getting the dolls to sit up properly. I have tried under stuffing. Maybe I am too picky. Once they are dressed, they sit better. I so enjoyed watching your doll tutorial, you gave me some great ideas & some new ways to put them together. I really like how you add the clothing fabric right on to the body while you're putting your doll together. Thank you so much for all your information. I think I'll go make a doll NOW!!!! :))))
