Man spent 12 years building a doohickey to fight an Ice Gleeok; the only Gleeok you don't need a glider for
literally you just use recall and you're gucci
you could just kill all the gleeok heads while they are flying up for the final attack, way easier with a multishot bow and some eyeballs
You can kill the final phase of any gleeok easily from the ground, as long as you fuse some type of wing to your arrow to make the range long enough. The rest of the phases can easily be beaten with eyes instead of wings too
It's not the only gleeok you don't need a glider for. Even if you don't choose to skip phase 3, King Gleeok has those icicles too.

With labyrinths, if you use glide suit you actually maintain your height, and can glide around the air insanely fast.
Edit: i checked, you can actually gain height by diving a little then bouncing back up the updraft
You maintain your height even without a glide suit, but there would be no easy way to regain height after landing anywhere. Maybe bring a lot of springs/rockets?

Got my hands on TotK late but am doing gliderless run as joke to my friend. Can confirm it is really easy to do Labyrinth. Bomb shield works like a charm, but even that is optional.
i love how despite all methods of playing, almost all of them works in this game and thats what i like about it most, still common nintendo L for no control binding

Getting around is so much more interesting without the glider, almost seems intended with how it forces you to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions.
You can fuse a wing to a shield to give yourself higher shield jumps, which could help in clearing big gaps.
I don’t know if you’re planning on it, but please keep making these Zelda vids the edits are great and your gliderless run is so entertaining

I thought this was a slop video like pyro because I read the title as "worst tiktok challenge"
One of the first things I did in the game (once I reached the surface) was manage to climb all the way down to the entrance of the final area of the game without the glider or any good equipment like an absolute psychopath. Turns out it is possible because of the janky way you can recover stamina on some slopes, find a few bits you can stand on and even let go and regrab the wall in some places (in some cases you can do it after falling quite far or even after diving, though even a small-ish fall kills you when you only have 4 hearts). That aside makes me wonder if you'd be able to win the game 'immediately' if you also used that exploit that gets you an indestructible master sword (on an unpatched game).
Considering the MS doesn't break during the ganon fight. You just have to find a way to do the Hordes and boss rush with shitty weapons lol
i hope albino knows that the glide set at level 2 gives you fall damage immunity
this game actually looks way more entertaining playing like this

both breath of the wild and this game are genuinely more fun when you're limited its the reason why in the first game the great plateay is the most fun area in the game and in this game by the end you have a million different ways to get to places it gets pretty boring

If you upgrade the glider suit twice you become impact proof so you take 0 fall damage.

If your standing on something you dont need to freeze it just as ling as you're standing on it when it hits the ground you wont take damage
