Oh my gosh Lindsey, little Emily did such a great job emptying lunch boxes and what a beautiful smile she had doing it, she seemed so proud of herself. Awesome lunches, always such a great variety for them. I was not a veggie eater as a little girl (I enjoy them now though) so my mom was always trying to find ways to sneak veggies in to the food she cooked so I wouldn't see it, she was famous for all the vegetables she added to her meatloaf and spaghetti sauce. Try as she might though i always found the little bits of chopped mushrooms. We weren't allowed to pick things out though, if we didn't want the whole thing, we would make a meal of all the sides and skip on the main course. It was sort of like cake with icing on it, I didn't care for the icing, and since I couldn't have the cake if I scraped off the icing, I started asking for pineapple upside down cakes for special occasions. I gave up a lot of foods, but as I mentioned when I became an adult, I started adding to my diet by many foods I grew up not eating, my mom must be watching from Heaven smiling and thinking, I told you so. Thanks for sharing the week with us, I can hardly believe the kids are almost out of school for Summer, hopefully your weather will brighten up soon, we've been having cool gray days still. Thanks, Tania. I noticed how proud Emily was too! I'll have to try and remember pack her a little lunch and let her empty it a day this week! She so wants to be included with the "big kids". I'm sure your mom would smiling down now, seeing you eat all the things you wouldn't eat as a child! It's interesting how our tastes change as we age. Yes, Nolah, that was Ben playing! He's doing so well with his piano, he actually has his very first recital tonight. I'm so proud of how well he's doing. Have a great week. 😊
Hi Lindsey I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!! I’m still in awe of you and your beautiful family. I had to fight to get my little ones to eat as well as yours do. Very good lunches ive been trying to give my son carrots, cheese and cucumbers hes so picky. Eventually he will eat them and be careful about the smoke in Canada i was worried about you and your adorable family
I thought there was a pie in the middle of your table then I realized it was a trivet/giant coaster :) Will you still do videos when the kids are out of school for the summer?

Hey Mary, I think it closes because it gets so warm in there (no air conditioning) and less people would go in the summer.
