This video needs to be the most talked about thing in the star citizen community right now. That was on point what happened in the movie, I can only imagine the takes, but what is more eye opening is how feature richness is on display in the video.
I've always said that SC is going to put every other engine to shame with how good the fan made videos are going to be. I can't wait for the future to unfold :)
it's highly doubtful eventually they will just adopt technology from other studios due to how CIG hires based on race and gender meaning 50% of their staff are useless.
Only in a carefully curated scenario with participant that know exactly what they have to do. SC fights are always going to be messy, most times jousting. Not that it's a good or bad thing, but fights like this will only ever be choreographed. It does help to drive the hype tho.
I don't have high hopes, but I have wished and wished every year that SC missiles (+ IR/EM conditionally) could be spoofed by you flying close to the ground/asteroid when the missile is overhead. Whenever I play Broken moon I imagine dipping around the terraforming beam, or flying right at the sun, to escape an IR missile, or hanging close to a working comm array to scramble an EM missile. Would be awesome, but won't hold my breath.
@@ajschwartz3924 Pitch back, hit the space brake, reverse boost, and then pivot on the roll and full throttle to level out again. It's easier to do in space at low speeds, WAAAAY harder to do in atmosphere when you have to deal with atmospheric drag.
@@ajschwartz3924 Billy has a good way to do it another way I can think of is to decouple then apply the space brake then it's yawing after that. I used to decouple in races to get my nose in the right direction before firing afterburner/boost, there's a world of possibilities with decouple including drifitng.
I mean, that’s a pretty easy maneuver in most light fighters, even in atmo. I remember Cutty pilots pulling off some wild maneuvers back before the redesign changed the thruster behavior. I’ve seen some truly insane stuff from pilots in the snake pit this patch

The Sabre looked real good but the Super Hornet would have worked better with this idea. That's just a suggestion though Still an awesome job you did on this.

Don't get me wrong, these recreation cinematics are cool -- but I'd love to see your own version of a dogfight story in SC, with all the elements created in-house -- sound design, performances, choice of shots, etc. I know that's not the intent here, but I'm curious to see what you might come up with. Nice work!
That was one of the greatest Dog fight scenes. Full stories are hard especially with just a small team or by yourself. Audio clips are a great way to start building cinematic knowledge.
If it’s gonna be a dogfight video in star citizen, it’s literally just gonna be 2 people jousting, or circle strafing until one blows up. Nothing cool like this fight actually exists in star citizen right now.

The the super hornet with it's two seater might been a better choice than that Saber as it's suppose to be fairly new tech compared to some of the other older fighters in game. Great video either way though.
DAYUM! Only thing that could've improved this imho would have been a Tobii Eye tracker for more realistic head movement in the cockpit view. But that's whining at a high level. Amazingly "filmed" and cut! 😁👍
Bloody amazing, only thing I would change is the usage of the Saber, if you switched it out with a Super Hornet this video would be PERFECT, as its more in line with the Tomcat both design and age wise in the SC universe, but that's not to say it isn't already a masterpiece, great job!
I've spent too many hours in a Gladius cockpit not to notice when the framing keeps switching to that instead of the saber or arrow that it's supposed to be.
I have to say that is some awesome editing. Heck you probably could make the whole movie (well most of it) in sc. I'm getting caught up on id'ing the ships. Sabre vs sabre? On microtech, though some shots looked like A2? Cockpit shots from gladdy, and Scorpius?

It was saber vs arrow. Maverick and rooster being in the saber. Dunno about the cockpit tho I’ve never been in a saber.
