If you keep landing on the surface and not getting fully around it, tuck more. It helps so much i've been practicing and found it is the tuck that is what gets you every time. Good luck :)
You may want to build up the strength before doing it to many times. Something that helps is keeping more of you weight on the palm near the wrist rather then further out on the fingers.
Great tutorial! i liked how your dad was explaining his fear of being inverted and the key is to trust the pressure on the supporting hand and having a feel for the center of gravity, that's some very good advice in my opinion. And it's good to know your back is getting better.
Just wanted to thank you for all your videos. I just managed to learn the palm spin, in addition to having learned a few other skills thanks to you. Keep the videos coming! :)
These tutorials are great! I was just trying to do a palm spin when this video showed up. No backflips or anything like that, these thing are a great start
I like hearing what mistakes were made or the worries that you had when you were learning so that others who are just learning can be aware of them and try to avoid them
Thank you for this, it was very helpful...I've self taught most of the moves I can do and watching videos like this helps me see small details that I am getting wrong.
Yes, you need to invert more. I was having the same problem as you, I was even practicing on the same thing as you! I inverted more and found the palm spin easier. I also found that I could do it faster when I inverted more. Keep practicing, it took me 3 practices of 2 hours to finally pick it up. It's definitely worth the work though! It is super fun!
Is there a timeframe on when you will be back to your old self? I like the tutorials and I've tried a couple but I really love watching you string it all together in your amazing supertramp videos!
Ronnie, I know its a BIG request for you, but i found the dive roll very impressive. Sadly though, it wasnt explained very thouroughly so i would love to see a video deticated to dive rolling! Thanks for your time, Jarret
your dad inspiring me (because i'm 32, i was, affair you know. for do the parkour excellent tutorial (excuse my english please) i know is not so good! enjoy and God bless Parkour family!
Man. I was in a parkour event yesterday. I felt bad I didn't have any tricks up my sleeves. Those dudes who have been practicing from 5 to 10 years were like...... Something you wouldn't see every day. I saw cool stuff. Felt a little sad for being so sloppy. The Obstecle course they took maximumly 34 secs to finish. With the wall runs and muscle ups. I took 1 minute. With failing to climb over both of the walls and not being able to vault over one of the Obstecles. I skipped because it was to high and I was too weak to keep going. It felt bad to be this slow. They didn't make fun of me though. They liked that I tried to keep going even when I became dizzy and I was just minutes away from going unconscious. They gave me lots of courage. The first few obstacles. I got over them quickly. The first vault i did a stylish spped vault.Got over the long gap with a nice stride into a stick then getting over the second Obstecle with a speed vault. A bit sloppy but it was quick. Then got over the little Obstecle by just jumping over them with no vaulting. Into striding perfectly on 3 pipes and after that. That's where it got sloppy. I will try practicing here by watching all the tricks I can learn and do and in the gym by trying harder until success.
cool vid, I like how your bro and dad help with the vid while your back heals. and you can still do more stunts then me when you got a back injury. lol
You will have to lean more further in, just like you want to do a dive roll. Your leg rotation will save you from falling. Sorry for my akward explanation, I am german :D
I got it right after watching your video, thanks! All I had to do was practice a few times and get over the fear of clipping. PS for people doing this with a mattress, the transition of height from the mattress to the floor is a bit disturbing, but it's easy to get over if you do it slowly with the mattress to see how exactly to do it then actually doing it with the floor.
could you do a tutorial on how to overcome the fear of doing a backflip on the ground? like if you can do it on a tramoline but are scared to do it on the ground.
There's almost nothing in parkour that you need any strength for. You just need to know the technique behind everything, as long as you can run, you can do parkour.
I have been practicing and when i try to turn as far as I can, i can only get 3/4 of it. Is there a technique to spin faster? Or easier? Ive been practicing on a picknick table, for example, when i get almost all the way around, my heels will hit the table on the way down. Do i need to invert more?
i dunno if ur still struggling with this issue bt i'll say this anyways...the main reason i noticed for slow spin was because i was trying to land on my left leg while spinning right...however, when i tried kicking with my right leg instead, the left leg just followed and it was almost like magic :P...hope it helps anyone else having the same problem...i also just started training parkour so if i can do it..so can u
Wow even you're dads good at parkour
If you keep landing on the surface and not getting fully around it, tuck more. It helps so much i've been practicing and found it is the tuck that is what gets you every time. Good luck :)
Your family is so cute!!! Its amazing you all pratice together. A family who flipps together stays together!
Thanks man! I this point I don't really know how long it will be, but I'm getting better so hopefully within a couple months.
You may want to build up the strength before doing it to many times. Something that helps is keeping more of you weight on the palm near the wrist rather then further out on the fingers.
THANKS DUDE

Great tutorial! i liked how your dad was explaining his fear of being inverted and the key is to trust the pressure on the supporting hand and having a feel for the center of gravity, that's some very good advice in my opinion.
And it's good to know your back is getting better.

My back is progressing, I still got a while though before I am back in top shape.
These tutorials are great! I was just trying to do a palm spin when this video showed up. No backflips or anything like that, these thing are a great start

You will have to lean more further in, just like you want to do a dive roll. Your leg rotation will save you from falling. Sorry for my akward explanation, I am german :D
GREAT! really good for beginners and advance as well :) thank you and your family for this :)
Try using your hands more. Apply pressure to the object in a way you spin faster.
Hey Ronnie, are you going to do an ac4 parlour in real life video with devinsupertramp?
Thanks for the tutorial, already knew how to do this but it never hurts to see how others do it! ^_^ How's your back doing, Ronnie?

Crud Muffin
The last one I wrote was yesterday and my OC died.

Very cool Video like ervery other of your videos!
Greetings from germany :)
could you do a tutorial on how to overcome the fear of doing a backflip on the ground? like if you can do it on a tramoline but are scared to do it on the ground.
what about your back injury? is it better?
Ronnie,is it necessary to strengthen my muscle(until I can pull myself up over the bar) before performing this spin?
well i would say that this spin doesnt have much to do (although it might a little bit) with the speed that you do it.
There's almost nothing in parkour that you need any strength for. You just need to know the technique behind everything, as long as you can run, you can do parkour.
do u live in Montana because I recognise some areas and mountains
utah...
I feel like your little bro is staring into every soul that watches this video, he only blinked 5 times! 3:50 :D (No offense Ree.)
I have been practicing and when i try to turn as far as I can, i can only get 3/4 of it. Is there a technique to spin faster? Or easier? Ive been practicing on a picknick table, for example, when i get almost all the way around, my heels will hit the table on the way down. Do i need to invert more?
Who watches and never does it
Walks Vlogs me.
You should really put up a video of you and your family doing a parkour run together
Wow! Your father is great!
Thanks~It's really useful^^
Can you make a Dash Vault tutorial?
will you do a backflip tutorial
epic dad dude
I think you can fix that by not extending your legs too much, keep them close to your body.
i dunno if ur still struggling with this issue bt i'll say this anyways...the main reason i noticed for slow spin was because i was trying to land on my left leg while spinning right...however, when i tried kicking with my right leg instead, the left leg just followed and it was almost like magic :P...hope it helps anyone else having the same problem...i also just started training parkour so if i can do it..so can u
