Damn, I lowkey wish this game turned out better as a huge fan of cuphead. This shit just looks whatever. The hit feedback is very confusing, just watching the video I can't tell if shots are even doing damage sometimes. The sound design is pretty bad too and some of the attacks like the full screen lasers at the end are barely telegraphed. There's some notable lack of polish too like how the anvil literally disappears without even a puff of smoke or something.I think the fight also lacks a thematic throughline. The first phase is like looney tunes slapstick, the second is this boring looking dance phase where the animation for the player character dancing isn't even in sync to the music and then the 3rd is just full on sci-fi. It just feels very disconnected and random whereas the thing I like about cuphead is that the bosses kinda has a thematic through line that builds up. That and the pacing of the fight is not great, the middle phase looks like it drags hard and then between phases they put a whole ass cutscene, it would've been nice if they found a way to make it all work seamlessly. That being said it isn't bad and I think with the proper care they could've had something great here.

I've been burned too many times being optimistic to see something like this with so many red flags and not think the worst. I'd love to be proven wrong but I highly doubt anything is gonna change for the final release

I don't think the game devs understand what makes cuphead work. the bosses are supposed to be high tense and fast paced, but here the gameplay is so slow and exhausting. and the whole thing just feels rly low energy. At no point does it look like the boss is even making an effort to strike the player.
What happend to the aniamtions? I know the trailer is meant to look good, but in comparison the trailer is Disney Snowhite and this gameplay is Dingo Pictures. I know it si made by like 2 or 3 people, but they need to at least make animation smoother. Also, i get it, it's a demo, but did you seriously think 6th September is that far away? If this is not good, then the game will never be much better i appreciate the work behind it, but it seems too clunky and i have a mixed bag of emotion in general

The movement doesn't track well with the animation, the framerate has been butchered to the point some of the inbetweening doesn't make sense... and some cycles don't loop properly .... my solid bet is that the game was never running in-engine during the first two trailers, and once they put the assets into the actual engine... they had to readjust everything for the game to not explode.

Enchanted portals creepypasta:it was 2023 and enchanted portals was so close to releasing i decided to play cuphead while i wait but i suddenly noticed cuphead was replaced with bobby so i decided not to think much about it but i relised bobby always stared at me whenever i won a boss battle which was creepy and then suddenly in the over world i noticed that there was over 53 skulls in the map i was scared and then i saw blood on my PC i tried to shut it off but it wouldnt work then i got a message saying "goodbye" then i was confused then i relised after that moment my friend never answered any of my questions and never answered any calls after august had ended there was 6 days left for enchanted portals but i was thinking wbout my friend i went and visited him and i saw his body and a wand i satrted to think that xixo studios are something you may not expect but and then i heard something behind me then i saw a demon then i was killed and i survived and i never layed foot 9n cuohead/enchanted portals(creepypasta made by me)
I’ve got to say, the disco dance section of this boss fight was extremely cringe, I really hated it, and I have to comment that I have not felt hatred like it for a long time.
what a lame game. I don't mind copying cuphead, I can forgive the inferior art-style and animation but the inferior gameplay is impossible to forgive. the first part of the battle looks too easy. the second part was trash since you barely move. only the third part looks kinda challenenging.

I see where plagiat thing came from, obviously gameplay and idea of cartoonish big bosses, yeah, but hey they atleast tried with making unique fights, no? There were some noteable interesting moments in this fight that could work as good fan-game. Imo this is way overhated, not that game is good enough to be completely liked but damn nobody wants to give this a slight chance, and i remember stupid drama about it purely because everyone wanted to turn this game and it's devs into dust.
