Funny how people claim that the tu-204 is a clone of the 757, 737 or even a320. A plane is a plane. All are designed for length flights, all have wings, front windows and rudders. A plane is a plane. Plus a 737 is a low-plane. has a different nose , and the 757 is more sleek looking.

There are three main operators of the using Tu 204 - Red wings, Владивосток Авиа (Vladivostok Air) and Transaero. You can use their services if you want.
And I fly the B757 as "co pilot", though most airline pilots call it "FO". Your cockpit is strange: All the plastic! The seating looks like it is more upright, and the panel is higher. Frankly, I like that better than the 757. The TU-204 seems to have a more basic FMS, or at least the screens look more generic. I can read the Cyrillic writing, and you seem to have the same buttons. Like us, you take off at flaps 5, something that astounds me! COOL plane!

Kill ratio has nothing to do with that, even with such a score, which is generally only one unverified source (something like in Korea, where if American reclaims would be true, than they would have shot down about threetimes more enemy aircrafts than there really were in service :))
Tu-204-300 - long-range aircraft. Approximately 7,000 kilometers. It has a shorter fuselage and about 130 passengers. Tu-204-100 is a short-range aircraft with a longer fuselage. Approximately 3,500 km. It has a longer fuselage and about 200 passengers. And shorter-range flight. That is the difference. Tu-204-300-VIP is used for transportation of the Russian Federation Government.
Tu 204-100 is a medium haul aircraft :) It has a Range of about 4400 km at max payload! Range with max fuel is 6900 km,and in 1 class config it seats 214 passengers.... The Tu 204-300 has a maximum range of around 6000 km with maximum payload. Max fuel range is 9250 km,and in 1 class config it seats 166 passengers.
These new Russians airplanes must have a serious hyd volume flow to suck that gear up so fast. I counted 9 seconds retraction cycle. Wow, and I thought 13-14 seconds for some Boeing and MD products was fast @ 18-20 GPM! And that was not counting the door cycle. I watched a Tu-214 video taking off, and it was the same way. There is no question that using design concepts of other manufacturers is cheaper because you eliminate the high costs of R&D. However, companies that choose to do this tend to be 10 years behind the market and appeal to different customers. BTW, the plane appears to be empty and perhaps this is a spectator take off.
If I'm not mistaking tupelov had every intention to sell the Tu204 to the west, and Rolls Royce provided engines to Tupelov and some aircraft were tested & flown with Rolls Royce power.

Why do they increase the thrust level after like 5 seconds of rolling? Why not from stop or first second?
