It's hard to see what she is doing. I could do a way with the music makes it even harder to stay focused on a DIY with nobody speaking. Maybe I have no sewings skills. I dont. Thinking not the right video for my level of sewing.
@@Kelly41366 It's not you. It's amazing the number of bad sewing tutorials out there, leaving the viewer with no clue what they are doing, not being clearly shown measurements, and they're so busy going fast that it's difficult to follow or figure out what's going on.
Agreed. I like the projects. I just wanted to see what we were going to make first before starting. And would be nice e to have written instructions, measurements, etc. along what was happening onscreen.
Nice projects. The title is a little misleading. I used to make bags for fun. Cutting the fabric and interfacing, and ironing the interfacing will probably be 10 min.
Love it, but in the first project it is much easier to inside out the bag so that there are no visible edges that should be covered in bias tape as you have. In addition, you do not have to take off the zipper as it is possible to sew around it, again saving some time. Also if anyone was wondering the dimensions of the first pieces in inches are: 20”, 13.8”
Can't wrap my head around what you described. Obviously it's a great idea as so many have liked it. I'm not doubting that at all. I just can't imagine it in my head.. Would you care to elaborate please? Thanks!
@@AnonymousAmyMakes at 2:21 you can see them using bias tape to cover the edges that make the bottom of the bag. Sierra suggested using a type of hidden stitch instead (inside out) to make the seam come together - excuse my pun - seamlessly.
@@sophiedean1416 French seam on all those layers? Not really ideal, not for beginners anyway. Most people don't have vintage machines or industrials the ones they sell now are junk and you're lucky if they handle the bias 😆
@@furociousd5219 it would be fine on that amount of fabric. I have a basic machine and also a beginner 👍 I learnt from Melanie Ham's youtube tutorials. Her canvas bag and zippered pouch box.
I only seen 2 projects, unless you count the 2nd one as 2. You could modify the 2nd project, making the elastic loops a little smaller (to fit makeup brushes), and use that for your makeup & brushes, kinda nice to have it all together.
I come from a long line of seamstresses and my grandmother had a fabric shop for 30 years. My mom made all her own clothes and my clothes and now I sew many clothes even lines skirts and blazers. I love to make purses and table runners etc, but I have never made anything that has a zipper. I want to make zippered items but I have always had a fear about putting in zippers. Is that not weird or not? I can make tailored button holes but I am fearful of zippers. I love your lemon bag it is a super neat idea and I would like to make the other pouch to carry crochet needles in or scissors or other random things. Thank you for great inspirations.
That is just fabulous- thank you for sharing it with me. 😊 I know you are sharing it with everyone but it feels like a gift - just to inspire me. So thank you 😌
I was thinking the same thing. As I'm laying here trying to figure or find some kind a way to make money as a single mom of a infant who's stuck at the house all the time
I like your video but instructions on the length and width of the material to make these bags would have been helpful. Rather than just grabbing scraps and guessing at it which I could do. But measurements would be very helpful.
If the music bothers you turn the volume all the way down. She gives you the measurements. And if you want to see what the project is move fast forward and you can see what it is. You can always go out and buy a pattern. Thank you so much for posting I like all of your videos.
This is THE BEST tutorial!!! It's soooo nice getting through without a bunch of yapping and sewing machine footage. I understand those details are valuable and many benefit from them but, for me personally, the show-and-go means I get more done in the short time I have for myself. LOVE IT ALL 💞 Pamela Mettler
I saw a cute short of a Santa Pillow was hoping you had more detailed directions here. You do lovely and creative projects but being older I really need slower and specific measurement in inches to make one of your projects. So when I see your projects pop up I fast forward to see if I’m interested in the project and if not exit. I assume you have enough viewers that your presentation works for you. No worries almost all you make I can find on another channel with slower speed and inches measurements. Thank you for sparking my creative imagination and giving me fun ideas!
Ideally it would make it easy to state each project with a time where it is on the video rather than having to watch all way through when only one project was of interest to me. But you are gifted and thanks for sharing .
Would be nice if you would show the project before you start. Thank you.
Note it. Ok. Thank U. 🙏

Been wondering what the ironed on material was. Thought it's some kind of waterproofing. Thanks for saying it's interfacing 👍🏽

Very nice. That cannot be made in 10 minutes. It takes longer than that to fuse the 2 pieces together
agree, at least it will take more than an hour with taking measure and cutting, especially fixing the zipper.
The video is under 10 minutes. Not the actual project 🤦🏾♀️
@@quishonda The title says otherwise.
I guess that they meant you can watch the video tutorial in under 10 minutes
love how easy you demonstrate it. Thank you

Yea, I was wondering where the third one was too lol I even rewatched it thinking I missed it lol

I'm not much on putting in zippers either.
I'm afraid to work with leather past making earrings with it. We all have something.
There is a channel "The Zipper Lady", if i correctly remember here on you Tube
I'm that way about button holes, lol. Zippers aren't as bad as they look.
The first one ist my favorite. Btw...I can't see where the third one is 🤷🏻♀🤷🏻♀😉😉 The first one I will make definitely. 🧡🧡
Okay. Not just me. I watched it twice thinking I missed one
The third one was the pouch she made to go along with the cord holder....I think
Nice but where to download it

Another idea, would be to put a button on the bottom so that you can close it for traveling. Just a thought.

Sizes are given albeit in metric.
The pattern is cute. Ut it reminds me of a small old school hoover vacuum cleaner where the bag goes.
very ingenuitive. I like what you did with the viper. I think this is what ive been looking for in relation to a man bag that i wanna make.
Very useful ideas thank you so much 😊

Dimensions would help. You don't have to talk just print them. Centimeters AND Inches preferably.

Great job
If I take the zipper lead off, I can never get it back on. She made it look easy!
Useful one. Thanks.

Where did you get your sewing pins ? Thanks
Make a little wallet with a zipper and handles.. could be a little longer than the last craft you did
