I love the way these old films just come to an abrupt end. Plus no fancy stuff to distract from the main story. It's also best to leave reality outside the 'cinema'. So enjoyable...and those accents!@#!
First. Thank you for sharing this film with us. Despite the soundtrack often sounding like someone frying bacon this curiosity is worth a look. Not one of the better quota quickies but the story is wacky enough to keep you watching. The secret of the pointing finger reveal is predictably, if unbelievably, useful. John Stuart suits the spectacles.
No-one noticed - at around 41:35 ish they sit in the ante-room. He smears her with cigarette ash. (She being the consummate professional carries on acting to get the take done - they were on a budget.) 🤔
What is an ante? Do they support female rights and the constitution? Are you associated with st. Joseph in Berea KY and Washington imaging center in San Diego? Fyi I'm allergic to tan coffee and tea and marijuana. Bob Marley is dead. This stinks of medical fraud.
I thought so at first. It looked like ash on her black gown just below her right breast, but when she stood up it was just part of the chair she was sitting in.

In the earlier 20th Century, much of Darkest Africa was still unexplored and undeveloped, and those 'savage tribes' actually were that primitive. @@ChrisCarlin-is8wv If a channel wants me to watch their film, the least they can do is write what the film is about! But, that’s ok. If they can’t take a couple of minutes to do that, I will just go watch the film on another channel that has the courtesy to do so!
It was his brother who took his place. Ronnie wasn't killed but returning to England, he was robbed and left for dead, later found by the police with Pats address on him.
A creaky Quota Quickie Mystery from Twickenham Studios. Looks more like a Filmed Theatre Play. But I do like leads----the Handsome John Stuart and the coolly elegant Viola Keats. Funny, both leads are really Scottish - born rather than "English".
Floydchen, A 5 word sentence was about as much as they could put on the screen for the audience to read during each scene in a silent movie before it returned to the actors. I guess this was a method which the writers still used until they became accustomed to dialogue for sound.

I've seen this before but still enjoy it! No music hammering away just a good story and good actors needed
Excellent mystery~ watch it, you won't be disappointed!
Surprisingly good movie. So many plot twists and people twists. I really liked this one.
Nice one! Thank you very much.
Great little film

39:46The little henchman (Grimes) is played by D.J. Williams, who was in a few Tod Slaughter films, including "Murder in the Red Barn". (1935)
That was one crazy ass plot...

I didn't sign up to have my rights violated by the entertainment industry or your abusive health Care. Your loss.

"He died in that very chair you're sitting in." "Oh, I say." Jolly good film, what?
Cor blimey guv'na,you can say that again and that's a fact!
Correction: Jolly good film, eh wot?
This movie has one thing right: the instinct to inbreed of the upper classes(his father is brother to the mother of his intended wife ... )
Is that why the finger pointy 😂
Floydchen thanks for enlightening that fool done quite well!,
I guess there were no hospitals 🤕 in England in 1933 for the ailing hero.
The film's setting was the 19th century, not '33. No autos, phones or elect. lights.
@DavidRice111 Oh, I understand!

Must be why England is in the mess it's in today.
I didn't like the ending. :(
Vidio picture too bad to watch
I think there is a plot somewhere, but the constant five word sentences makes my American mind wander. wish I had more patience.
