Bela can steal a scene just by being a part of it..he had physical presence like no other...he will always stand out as one of hollywoods greats...if not the best...the actors today are just a bunch of pretty boy no talents..none of them can hold a candle to Mr Lagosi....

It may seem that there are cliches here and there, but that's not a sign of weakness - it's part of its charm and character. David Manners can't help but lift whatever film he is in. Another very good Bela movie where he played the good guy, although he was sort of nuts, was The Black Cat (1934) with Boris. There's more than one Black Cat movie. Boris was a really nasty character in that one.
