      It so important to prune Gauva , so last year branches must be pruned in an angle. This will help plant to bear more number of bigger size fruits

    I suggest cutting all the trunks at about 1.5-2 feet from the ground. This will keep your tree small and you should be able to pick fruits without ladder or even pole harvester.

      I think you can safely prune it when it is dormant. And if you don't have a cold season, then anytime after it has finished fruiting.

    • @farmaanandaa
      @farmaanandaa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This trimming is called pruning. Pruning is done every year. Fruit grows on new wood in a GUava, so you want the new growth to remain low, and the tree to have less vegetative growth. For that purpose, the tree is pruned each year

    Is pruning really recommended in Permaculture? Why not improve nutrition of the plant to a level where nutrients won't be "divided" in vegetative growth and fruit yield? So that both activities will have adequate nutrition.....
