We are sorry to hear that you are under the weather, please take care of yourself. Our first day here in Playa, we went to the beach, of course, and there in front of the palapa units, the water definitely had a sewage smell so we did move after just a few minutes. I actually thought it was probably sargazo, but i think you cleared that up. Apartment prices, I'm glad you mentioned to not overpay. We are renting a place for a little above market because we are only renting for a 4 month period but, we didn't go crazy. Great info on the dentist. Good ones are hard to find no matter where you are. They always up-sell in my opinion. Great content as always, thank you for your dedication. Get well and maybe we will see you out while we are here.
Thanks my friend!! Yes I’m sure we’ll run into each other! I’m on the mend and making it back out to the beaches and restaurants etc. 😎🏝️❤️. So glad you guys made it down!! What’s your favorite beach at the moment?
Great information man. Glad to know what me and the wife are thinking is the case. We are planning to move and rent for a month or two with what we can book before getting there and then finding a permeant place once there when we can find something in person.
Dentists. The first dentist I went to in Guadalajara told me I had 7 cavities. I laughed, looked at him like he had three heads, and never returned. I have great teeth. Always have!! I hope you feel better soon!!
Thank you for the update . I hope you feel better soon . You are right rent prices are crazy . I am in the USA , trying to come to PDC soon for a few months. Looking on Airbnb in the Hollywood area up to 38th Nte . Several blocks from the Beach . 1 BR in a building with pool Most want $2,000 USD Month .
Thanks for the get well wishes!! Yea $2,000/month is INSANE! You might have better luck on Booking than Airbnb and also you can sometimes negotiate a three month lease on some places (I’ve done that in the past in Playa) if you’re here in person and send WhatsApp messages to setup a showing! Hope that helps! Hope you make it down soon! 🏝️❤️😎☀️
I got sick too! Exact same symptoms that you have, was sick my last week in Playa, it sucked! But the sun helped, I still hit up the beach loungers. Weird thing is when I got back to Canada, the illness got worse. I'm still dealing with it. I haven't done any testing, just took standard supplements/meds.
So sorry to hear that but many thanks for sharing!! It really doesn’t feel like a “common cold” to me. The difficulty breathing was scary but yes I’m taking the sun each morning as well and it helps a ton! Hope you recover asap! ❤️😎🏝️☀️
I just got back from Cancun and Playa.I got super sick with a parasite and got antibiotics and the doctor was amazing in Cancun. I was taken care of in minutes and had all i needed with prescriptions. I think i got away with not getting sick in Playa because I was already way into the cycle of meds for the parasite when i arrived there. I had excatly the same symptoms as mentioned felt like a super bad flu with bad body aches. Was a parasite bacterial infection but got it real quick and cleared up within days! Maybe check for a parasite my friend and get some antibiotics quickly! Hope that helps anyone that's feeling unwell there.I understand how it feels and its a rough time. I just got home and was there for 3 weeks and feeling amazing now. Also honestly get some probiotics after the antibiotics cycle its helps with your digestive tract and just builds you back up and helps with all the food were eating there that our bodies arent quite used too yet. Be well fellow travelers. 🙏
Many thanks for sharing your experience and checking out the video!! Do you know the name of the particular parasitic infection you were diagnosed with? Was curious if it was indeed bacterial or if it was amoebic or what the exact nature of it was. At any rate, I’m glad you’re feeling back to 💯!! ❤️🇲🇽😎🏝️☀️
@theropemonster Thank you for the video as I watched one daily while in Playa, as I was curious about rents and places there. We stayed on 10av and enjoyed it! 😎Great question about the parasite infection to be honest I was so sick didn't ask those details which normally I do. I have the information on the 2 medications given to me and with my little broken Spanish I did understand it was a gastrointestinal parasite and its was mostly likely from the food or water. My doctor didn't speak much English but tried to explain as best she could. I'm still learning Spanish so it was a team effort between us two. Haha. 😉 I was staying at an all inclusive in Cancun and it seemed alot of us were at this clinic that week. So could've been the food or water not to sure to be fair. I have to admit i was very sick with a high fever and body aches badly but within 2-3 days of the meds I was on the mend and feeling back to normal very quickly, so I'm pretty confident that doctor knew exactly what I had. I have to say that whenever i need to get help in Mexico only 2 twice( stomach issue's) the medical care has been absolutely amazing! I'm from Canada and if had what I had there i would probably still be waiting for help herr in Canada weeks later.lol. I hope you feel better soon fellow traveler and get back to feeling healthy in Playa! Thank you again for information in your videos was nice to watch while i was there and to know there was other fitness lovers there as well! Take care down there and keep on the gym and tan. 😎🤙
@ yes being able to just walk in and get medical help is one of the (many) things I love so much about Mexico! In the US there would’ve been talk of specialists and 2-4 week wait 😅😅. Mexico for the win!! Thanks for updating us! I’ll drop an update tomorrow most likely 😎☀️🇲🇽❤️
Hello, how are you? I am a regular viewer of your TH-cam channel. I came here to say that- Your content is always engaging and incredibly well-presented!" Good luck to you I appreciate you and I want to share with you some tips that you can use for your channel, I look forward to hearing from you
Ouch!! Thanks for the update Gregg! I’ve completely stopped going to that area for now and am enjoying other beaches to the south and to the north instead. 🏝️❤️😎
Sorry to hear about being sick and not feeling well. I so very much appreciate your honesty and videos. Been living just north of Puerto Vallarta for 7 plus years and love the west coast. We have messaged before, my name is Bill. Take care!
Howdy Bill!! Thanks so much for your feedback and kind words! I love Vallarta and sure do miss those sunsets over that way! I’m on the mend and look forward to filming more videos and smacking the volleyball around soon 😎. Thanks for supporting the channel, my friend! All the best to you in Vallarta ☀️❤️🏝️
Great video man.😊 👍🏼 You just came across my feeds. New subs here, I see you made the right choices throughout your life. ❤ Keep up the great work bro. ✌🏼 Cheers from 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico. 🇲🇽🙏🏼
Thanks guys for the feedback, sub and kind words! Love your guys’ handle by the way @2GringosOnTheGulf! Happy to hear you guys have reached the promised land as well! What part of Mexico did you choose? All the best to you both 🇲🇽❤️😎☀️🏝️
Great info on this video thank you!....one thing to note is there are two types of walking pneumonia that is wide spread in Canada and the US right now...children and seniors or anyone with health issues are vulnerable. Some folks are very sick others just feeling poorly and the cough...so maybe a check on that? Its not the old school type its not necessarily the hacky crackling sound of pneumonia . Hope you recover soon...we were at a resort in Mexico a few weeks ago and my husband picked up this virus...he still has the cough but is feeling better...viv
Thanks for that great info Viv! I’m so glad your husband is feeling better too! I’m still waiting on the cultures they did at the clinic but I did indeed wonder about pneumonia because of the severe shortness of breath! I’ll update you all with a community post or short as I know more! All the best to you guys ❤️🏝️😎
Great videos! I’m moving to PDC end of December with my Iarge chocolate lab so it’s been a tougher search. I will be in town on the 17th for the week to look a few places. I joined PDC short and long term rental fb group for great services and listenings. I have been sent a few listing’s at a major over charge price but if you just say no, then they message back later within your range. Definitely keep negotiating. Maybe we can meet some time. I hope you feel better fast.
Thanks my friend for the get well wishes! Yes, great community here for your Chocolate Lab… such a dog-loving place! Yea the FB rental groups can be hit and miss. Walking around and gathering WhatsApp numbers of of the for rent signs is really what works here. $600-$800 (or less) USD should easily get you a super nice studio or 1 bedroom here in a great location.
Its really seasonal. When the weather changes and goes from humid to cold, a lot of years theres a bronchial infection that goes around. The sewer issue is extensive given how quickly Playa has grown. The government is "aware" but theyd prefer to throw parties for themselves than tackle the issue. Also, avoid the sea after rainstorms when the entire city flushes its overflow. Thanks for the dentist recommend, also! Keep well.
Thanks for sharing those insights! The difficulty breathing seemed different than the seasonal illnesses I’ve experienced here and in Puerto Vallarta but maybe I’m just getting older and it hits different 🤷🏼♂️. Thanks for watching 😎☀️🏝️❤️
Hey Micah, great hearing from you! It’s so great to be back! I just now dropped an update revealing the test results and was definitely surprised. I thought it could’ve been Covid, Influenza, or even Dengue because of the severe shortness of breath the first few days but it wasn’t. I hope your friends recover asap from the virus.. scary stuff! Here’s the full update on the test results.. it ended up being multiple issues: th-cam.com/video/eu3X9178XTM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gPIdqi48MpisaRdJ
Hope you feel better soon. I came across the samething some weeks ago. I was really sick after riding on the train.I found an old family remedy. Colloidal Silver Plus. I drop 2 drops in a small cup of water. In a day all the coughing and inflammation disappeared. This is what I used, so you guys seek medical advice first.
For a week, I put a nice piece of ginger, about 3 pieces of garlic, and about 6 pieces of cloves in a small pot, turn off the stove when bring to a boil. After each meal I take a half of cup. I am now back to normal. As stated before, this is what I used to get rid of that strange illness. Always seek medical advice.
Awesome!! I’ve been doing boiled ginger tea with honey but the garlic and clove makes a lot of sense! Thanks for sharing and glad you’re back to normal ❤️😎🏝️☀️
@@theropemonster Hey Buddy, I add a pinch of cayenne pepper, especially at bedtime to the tea. I cant believe how quick I bounce back. Hope you feel better soon. When I am in crowded places I put on my mask. Just to be safe. Plan to visit PDC around March.

MY friends girl had that playa cough.. i know exactly where that one bedroom is, walk by it when i go to chouix chouix on 20th. seen the for rent sign. was wondering what they went for and how it looked, so thanks for answering my questions.. its a little too small for me though. pay 30k (1600 us.) for my 1800 sq fot 2 bedroom condo on calle 34 colosio hollywood. im definitely downsizing to a 1 bedroom when my lease is over.
Glad to have answered that question for you Joe, yes it’s definitely too small, no matter the price. Thanks for sharing that info about your place and location! There are plenty of 1 bedrooms around still from what I’ve seen. Happy hunting 😎🏝️ Interesting about the “Playa cough”! I’ll have an update on that soon actually got some more test results back.

Hi, I am staying in Cancun and I don't enjoy my stay here. I want to get to Playa to stay. My rent here in Cancun is quite expensive though Airbnb and this studio is not worth the price. I will be looking to rent this weekend. It would be great to find a place at around 7500 MEX all included. Maybe you have places to offer. We could meet if it's ok with you. Thanks
Thanks for the message! Yes, I'll be posting about some great places I've found in the next few days as long as I’m feeling well enough to see them. They’re easy to find if you come to Playa early in the day and take a walk around looking for signs. Do you speak Spanish? That helps a lot when messaging and calling on the places. Thanks for checking out the video 🏝️😎☀️

Hi RopeMonster. DO you have any good contacts regarding rent of an apartment for 2 months - february and march? preferably 2 beds/2 baths.
Hmm, 2 months is tricky but yes if you have IG, send me a message there and I’ll put you in contact with a young lady who does shorter contracts.
How much is normal to pay for a root canal at dental clínicas in PDC? Maybe cheaper in less touristy areas of Mexico?
I’ll have to get the prices and put that info in an upcoming short! Thanks for the great question 🦷❤️🏝️😎

They’re easy to find if you come to Playa early in the day and take a walk around looking for signs. Do you speak Spanish? That helps a lot when messaging and calling on the places. Thanks for checking out the video 🏝️😎☀️
