रूस में रहने वाले भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की जुलाई में होने वाली यात्रा से पहले एक हिंदू मंदिर के निर्माण की मांग कर रहे हैं। यह मांग रूस में भारतीय समुदाय के प्रमुख सदस्यों द्वारा व्यक्त की गई है, जिसमें भारतीय व्यापार गठबंधन और भारतीय सांस्कृतिक और राष्ट्रीय केंद्र “सीता” के अध्यक्ष सैमी कोटवानी भी शामिल हैं। प्रस्तावित मंदिर का उद्देश्य रूस में हिंदुओं के लिए एक धार्मिक केंद्र, एक सामुदायिक केंद्र और सांस्कृतिक एकता का प्रतीक बनना है। यह अनुरोध इसलिए भी महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह भारत-रूस द्विपक्षीय वार्ता और आगामी ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन के लिए मोदी की यात्रा के साथ मेल खाता है, जो भारत और रूस के बीच बढ़ते सांस्कृतिक संबंधों पर जोर देता है।
