It is widely felt that the fall of the Soviet Union left a unipolar world, dominated by the remaining superpower, and that the "moment" is coming to a close with the collapse of the Anglo-Saxon "free market" economic model. Investigation of this two-decade "moment" can provide considerable insight into what came before, and possibilities for shaping the future.
Please note that Chomsky's presentation starts 11 minutes in.

Chomsky has made several key contributions to my understanding of the world, here is a list of some of my favorietes:
    - The essential and pervasive role of and the mechanisms and psycology of propaganda and indoctrination
    - The planing and thinking behind the current world order after WW2
    - How the economy works with defence spedning, propaganda and the like
    - How corporate media has a corporate agenda because of how the institutions work and interact
    - Human psycology, how it in a deeper way is striving towards "the good" but is excellent at self deception
    and on and on ...

infiniteinfiniteinfi How do you feel about McCain's remark on WWII post to establishing a New World toward General Mattis? Or perhaps do you have a new perspective?

I understand this lecture was given in October 2009. Can somebody tell me the name of the event Prof. Chomsky is talking about when he tells "this november"? Thank you.
