I'm not really that into tool reviews but you're entertaining enough that I'll watch your porta-band review. Just don't go and make a porta-potty review. If your bungee cord ever breaks how about this. Take one of those little bar type clamps and turn the moving jaw around to make it a spreader. Then put it into the tools trigger guard and spread the clamp jaws until it pushes the trigger on. Oh, and here's another thought. If you're not worried about getting your old saw back, maybe you could send it to AvE for a destructive post-mortem. If you can swing a colab or even a shout-out it would boost your numbers. Take care.
Another thing that I didn't like is the chain drive plastic sprocket. Milwaukee uses a steel gear drive on a there new band saws. But Milwaukee also uses chain drive on the older band saws.
DeWalt it depends the corded stuff it's been good for me but their cordless stuff!! the tools themselves are fine but the price on the replacement batteries Christ's sake!! i've got a 9.6 volt from them where the batteries it came with took on a charge memory and the replacement batteries are $90.00 plus a pop and i only gave $99.59 for the damn drill! i'm going to start getting my cordless stuff for harbor freight their Bauer and hercules line have good reps and cheap batteries that'll run anything in the line! on the porta band there a piece of duct tape or a velcro power cord strap will hold the trigger down just fine and i was about to say use a power strip for on off! one thing about them that drives me nuts about any brand porta band is i wish they'd come up with a proper full table you could put on when you're using it clamped in a vice like that!! by the way on bayonet video you used dykem, ever try a red or blue sharpie instead? works pretty good isn't as messy and it's cheaper!
..time will tell. put a hook on the wall. there's a mess of videos on here. i made one and used a piece of 1/4" round to hold the trigger. it comes off the wall in a couple of seconds. that way i can use it upright or snatch it off to use on something else...

it's probably just a bad switch if it is a porter cable will last a while longer!!
I think I will carry it to Nashville and see what they can do with her.
