It's because Haaland is 6'4 and muscular. He is prone to getting injured. Man City have a good second striker in Alvarez. The game was finished off and Haaland had already overworked himself by scoring 5 and was clearly tired so Pep decided to conserve Haalands energy, keep him from being injured and put in Alvarez.

Likely he can’t do it. 15 years is a long time. Top players can be forgotten in a few years if they somehow drop their level, get injured etc. Owen won the ballon dor at 18 or something but essentially disappeared by his mid 20s. Scoring 60 goals this season has no bearing whether he can even do it again next season, let alone for the next 15 seasons without break.
It’s not about “body type” it is playing style. He uses his body not to “draw contact”, but to make contact. This means more injuries…

Scoring goals in the premier league is quite tougher than other leagues. Haaland won’t make it if he stays in PL forever. And he plays more aggressive than Ronaldo and Messi, chances of getting more injures in future. But he already proved his ability this season. Haaland will need to get as many as he could while around with someone like KDB in the team. Without KDB’s type of capabilities to assist/create the build up for him, he could not catch up.
Gotta looks at the medical staff and philosophy at the clubs they are at too. At the highest level of football and with proper care Halaand’s injuries are likely to decrease. He’s yet to have gotten a serious injury this season so it’s a big nod to the medical and physio staff at City as well as Haaland himself whose cared for his own body. He even made it apart of his contract at City that he gets the most premium and attentive physical care.
If he plays 28 games a season and scores 36 goals it doesn’t really matter whether he misses games. Unless injuries affect his performance the argument doesn’t really stand up, because you can rest him, and then he’ll score a hat trick in the next game
Think Haalands injury rate would go down in the future. The reasons for most of he's injurys is muscle imbalances cause he grew extreamly rapidly even in hes late teen.
