Really looking forward to getting this in hand.
During the first half of the video, i could only think how this would stack up against my precious pst gen ii. So glad you made that comparison. This is quite the solid scope!
I'm seriously considering either the 1-6 or 1-8 etched reticle version of this for my 16" gun. Weird thing that I really like about these, the magnification goes from right to left. So when you put a throw lever on it the lever isn't going to be at risk of getting bumped up from 1x when the rifle is slung. Honestly prior to seeing this I was leaning very heavily towards the 1-6, but now I have to consider this option too. Do wish they capped the turrets though

@davidheath2427 2-12 is the most optimal magnification range for a "do it all" AR in 5.56 in my opinion. Pair it with an offset or piggybacked red dot and you have an incredibly versatile setup without the pitfalls of having to compromise either your top or bottom end magnification like you have to with lpvo's. Without needing to have a super flat image and visible/usable Reticle on 1x you can have a good Reticle on 2x and pair it with a big objective lense to let a lot more light and also a bigger exit pupil on max magnification. With an offset red dot you have an objectively better 1x with a much brighter and longer lasting battery than you can get with a 1x lpvo. The only way you can make a 1x lpvo as bright as a red dot is to use a fiber wire Reticle and when you do that you can't have useful features like wind dots or ranging trees

I hope you don't get tired of these questions. Vortex first focal plane or primary arms first focal plane they both come in right around that 5 to 600.00 price point . Which one do you think has better eye relief and glass?
I have 2 of the 34mm ffp versions. Got good deals on both on eBay. For shooting from the bench they’re fine. I wouldn’t buy one at the normal $730. For that price in 3-18 the Meopta Optika6 is mechanically a little better and I prefer the Meopta reticle. The only other 3-18 I can think of in price range is Vortex Strike Eagle. I haven’t used one enough to make a judgment but I do like the Vortex reticle much better. Vector reticle design is generally lacking.
Are they a brand that has good prices direct or real savings from resellers. Hadn't seen them sold but i Hadn't looked at anything in ages. Would like to get the 2-12.
Check out the review focustripp did on the continental 1-6 fiber He compares the two and for the price of the continental right now I would pick the continental all day By the way, discount code still work on top of the sale price
Since we’re on the topic of SFP 1-8 scopes, do you have interest in reviewing the 1-8 EOTECH vudu? It seems they don’t suffer from the poor illumination of the FFP vudu lpvo’s.
There’s some great Black Friday deals now with Vector and the user code C_does still works… 1-6 fiber lvpo $282 out the door w/ mount, scope lever, and free shipping. Thanks for the reviews!
I just saw this! I literally just ordered it for $320 shipped less than a week ago… Really wish I would’ve waited a few more days to save that 27 bucks and change 😂
I have their 34mm 1.58" rings and I like them, however they use chinesium aluminum and their modular rds ring doesn't use common thread pitch so you are stuck with their rds (which suck compared to holosun).
Most important question - how durable it is? I know you are smaller youtuber and cant afford to destroy every optic, but I wonder what happend if we put it in the freezer or under the water for some time. It will be as durable as Vortex or other brand scope?
@@Banshee9129 I asked to get a 1-6 in, so hopefully I'll know that answer in the near future. Seeing as how well this 1-8 works out to 200y, I wouldnt mind going for this for bench shooting and some 'tactical' shooting.
I'm starting this off with a sentence so its not all caps but WHEN WILL THEY PUT A DECENT RETICLE IN THE 2-12! Personally i dont need christmas trees but c'mon give me some mil drops.
C, just as an aside. All of the Continental "ED" scopes are advertised with germen glass systems. Since you mentioned wanting to see Japanese glass. The 1-10x version of this is advertised as having Schott "HT" glass...... Now whether those perform as well/better than this, who knows....... I have to admit this is a pretty shocking result for an off brand manufacture.....
Hello, I own a hk mr308, but don't have much money for a optic, I want to buy a ffp mil optic and Iam currently looking at vortex and vector optics, I do own vortex optics but for different purposes. Would you rather buy something from vortex like the PST gen 2 lineup or rather a continental from vector optics, which are cheaper and somehow you are the only reviewer I actually trust when they tell me vector optics is good, since they seem to be so new and I have never ever seen one irl.
After watching this video and Focus Tripp's, I wanted to order one, but I'm more concerned about durability of the optic. Like is this gonna be an Amazon special that comes apart on me after a little bit of recoil?
The entire design of this scope is identical to the Primary Arms 1-6x scopes lol and they're priced the same. I bet this is where they source them from.
Vector optics scares me... they have 4 optics I want to try. But nothing is really available nor ready. Everything is a the ilder model zof that version. The 4x , the 3x ... even the scrapper multi reticle is getting great reviews. ... Athilon is a bit suspicious. 😅 ... 🤔

It's objectively better to look through and it's pretty noticeable
Great optics but I dont think this justifies the price. The more problem I have against vector is that not all of their scopes have life time warranty. The lower end scope only have 3 or 2 years threw me off.
Thats because they sell some really really cheap stuff. It probably wouldn’t be very economical for them to provide lifetime warranty on an $80 airsoft tier scope. All the moderately expensive stuff is covered by a lifetime warranty.
@@linkchen8245 Vortex is also a much larger company (at least here in the US) with a much wider product range. They can offer the warranty on cheap scopes because they have $3000 scopes that they make huge margins on. The same cannot be said for Vector.

I haven’t used one enough to make a judgment but I do like the Vortex reticle much better. Vector reticle design is generally lacking.
With a name like the Continental it should come with a John Wick coin :)
Has anyone out there used both the 6X and 8X version of this? I was leaning toward 6X but now I'm not so sure.
would also like some feedback on this
Same!
I hope their 2-12 FFP scope comes out soon.
@@TailSpin215 you might be in for a real treat soon then , 😏
@@CDOES I'll be on the lookout for it! Any idea when they'll be available for sale on their website? I don't even see it listed on there yet
Are they a brand that has good prices direct or real savings from resellers. Hadn't seen them sold but i Hadn't looked at anything in ages. Would like to get the 2-12.
@@Bursar60 the 2-12 is suppost to go for $449 without mount or throw lever
I have 2 vector 3x paragon prisms and I really like them
This exact variant was difficult for me to find on their website. For those curious: the SKU is SCOC-45
Biggest question is this or SLX nova 1-6 ? . Coming from a strike eagle gen 2
Check out the review focustripp did on the continental 1-6 fiber
He compares the two and for the price of the continental right now I would pick the continental all day
By the way, discount code still work on top of the sale price
Since we’re on the topic of SFP 1-8 scopes, do you have interest in reviewing the 1-8 EOTECH vudu? It seems they don’t suffer from the poor illumination of the FFP vudu lpvo’s.
Any chance you could ask vector to extend the reference discount to the european store as well?
@@VampireShogun I can inquire
Here you go mate, give this a go and let me know if it works out.
vector2007.com/?ref=CDoes
Coupon Code C_Does should yield 10% off as well.
Send it to Jim harmer of backfire he will throw it in his pool
Focustripp did a drop test on the continental 1-6 fiber And it did really really good considering that LPVOs Aren’t the most durable optics
C_DOES have you ever seen/used a Bausch and Lamb scope? I’ve got one in an older hunting rifle I was handed down.
Could you compare this with the BFO ???
I have only one range with 200yd available. Should I get this one or the 1-6 is as good?
@@Banshee9129 I asked to get a 1-6 in, so hopefully I'll know that answer in the near future. Seeing as how well this 1-8 works out to 200y, I wouldnt mind going for this for bench shooting and some 'tactical' shooting.
Thanks
Wait till Black Friday to buy this scope. It was on sale for less than 400 last week so just give it time y’all
I'm starting this off with a sentence so its not all caps but WHEN WILL THEY PUT A DECENT RETICLE IN THE 2-12! Personally i dont need christmas trees but c'mon give me some mil drops.
Would it be good enough for an 18” 308
@@BIGZOE if you feel like it'll be enough magnification for your setup, then yes.
Have you tested any scopes from GPO yet? Look promising on paper.
Oh no! Your audio is off at 20:00
nice scope for the price! If you get your hands on the Leupold Mk4HD 6-24 I think you would be impressed! I know I am👍
When is the Vector Continental 2-12 dropping?
C, just as an aside. All of the Continental "ED" scopes are advertised with germen glass systems. Since you mentioned wanting to see Japanese glass. The 1-10x version of this is advertised as having Schott "HT" glass...... Now whether those perform as well/better than this, who knows....... I have to admit this is a pretty shocking result for an off brand manufacture.....
How do I send you my Steiner 5117 2.5-10x50 for a review?
Hell no, they are solid dont worry
Focus Tripp concluded that it was one of the most durable LPVOs he’s tested after his drop test
Weird have you done a SE G2 1-8FFP?
Vector has a 2-16x44 that needs more reviews. I can't find one that I trust anywhere.
I have a feeling that after this the price of these will go up lol
Thanks
18.6 oz for this one. How much does the 1-6 weight?
18oz
The longer the scope is the more time the glass has to stretch the image
The Vector is made in China, the Primary Arms is made in Japan. Does the country it is made in generally have an effect on durability and longevity?
MPVO video when?
The entire design of this scope is identical to the Primary Arms 1-6x scopes lol and they're priced the same. I bet this is where they source them from.
Vector optics scares me... they have 4 optics I want to try. But nothing is really available nor ready. Everything is a the ilder model zof that version. The 4x , the 3x ... even the scrapper multi reticle is getting great reviews. ... Athilon is a bit suspicious. 😅 ... 🤔
The 3x prism is 25% off on Amazon still i think, I bought one for 180 ish yesterday
@Juliankb39 was looking at it.. haven't fully decided yet. What do you like /hate about it?
@@Ephesians504 i hate that it's not an acog for a fraction of the price. Other than that I like all of it except for the 1 moa adjustments, but that isn't that bad and I've gotten out to 500 ish with the 4x. It also uses t2 Mounts which is great. It's objectively better to look through and it's pretty noticeable
@Juliankb39 copy that
If the PST II has such good glass why don't more scopes have filipino glass?
Has anyone told you that you look like popeye and The Situation smashed together?
Great optics but I dont think this justifies the price. The more problem I have against vector is that not all of their scopes have life time warranty. The lower end scope only have 3 or 2 years threw me off.
Primary arms then lifetime flawless warranty
@@Ron-ni8uu They don't play by the rules because they are a Chinese company.
Thats because they sell some really really cheap stuff. It probably wouldn’t be very economical for them to provide lifetime warranty on an $80 airsoft tier scope. All the moderately expensive stuff is covered by a lifetime warranty.
@@mr.ballstone1914 vortex has scopes around 100 and is covered by warranty. It is not an economical thing but a commitment or legitimacy difference.
@@linkchen8245 Vortex is also a much larger company (at least here in the US) with a much wider product range. They can offer the warranty on cheap scopes because they have $3000 scopes that they make huge margins on. The same cannot be said for Vector.
Currently on sale for $336.
I don't understand why this isn't a 1-8x28. Even weirder is that they sell a FFP 1-6x28 in a 34mm tube.
physics. you can't increase the objective lens on a 1x without increasing the rest of the glass.
@@GldenRetriever of course. which is why it should be a 34mm tube
@@tfwwhennofitlitgf3300 Added weight and the lack of needed extra erector travel.
@@GldenRetriever you're forgetting the whole point of my wanting a 34mm tube. 28mm objective for better light transmission at 8x
@@tfwwhennofitlitgf3300 Having compared both a 24mm and a 28mm side by side at low light, the difference was marginal. Really isn't worth the couple oz of weight imho. swampfox arrowhead 1-10 & trijicon credo 1-8 respectively, but have tested others as-well like slx nova 6x, k16i, accupower 8x, etc.
I'm a pa fanboy but vector micro prisms are better, and for the price the scopes are better too and I love my plxc. Focus tripp has reviewed a ton of vector stuff on his channel and for gun deals if y'all are interested
And yet many folks on the web will claim Vector is chinese piece of shiet not worth a damn without even trying any of their product.
Do the 4x prism and it takes a holosun eps carry for a true poorCog 🙂↔️🙂↔️🙂↔️🔥
Cdoes please please maan for arken 7x35-56
That illum is tiny as hell, reticles leave a lot to be desired for 1x or 8x, and the target turrets just aren't needed but not a major issue. If you ever find yourself dialing an LPVO other than zeroing, you're dead wrong. The glass is nice and the price is ok-ish. For this price point and lower, there are definitely better options. Overall it's just kinda meh...
the low cost is due to being made in china. makes me feel ill, but that's the simple truth of all things made in china. It's how so much manufacturing moved to china in the first place.
I have the low tier S6, the glass is better than my Gen 3 PA stuff. Has the bezel-less ocular piece. And is very smooth on adjustments
No scope can be considered worthy until. c_does. reviews it
And Cyclops Joe “ nipple twist it “. LoL 😂
Thanks for another great review 👍
Definitely cyclops has to nipple twist this one to make sure it is not a bullshit scope😂
