My grandma, famously nicknamed Sunshine, just passed away recently. We were talking about playing You Are My Sunshine, but I thought all the versions I'd heard were too campy and not appropriate for a funeral or memorial service. With your permission, I'd love to use this for her memorial service. It's absolutely perfect. Can we get in touch? I have a minor request as far as mixing goes.
You have done an excellent job my good man. If your ever in Charlotte NC, come sing with us at the Gold Standard Chorus on Monday evenings every week. You are as good as any multi-tracker I have heard. www.goldstandardchorus.org
Hey dude not sure if you'll see this but how did you develop such an incredible sense of pitch? Absolutely locked in 99.9% of the time and the other 0.1% is just to show ur still human
Glad I carried it off. 😉 I've enjoyed following him since he was in high school. It's almost tiresome to hear people accusing him of using-auto tune time and again. He's worked hard on his music, and is now teaching music. If there was no snark there, I apologize. But the harshest critics are too often unable to competed on the same level.
There's no harm in asking about using pitch correction software. Why do people automatically assume that doing so is only for people who can't sing a note? It's just polishing tool, it won't make miracles.
Again: using pitch correcting software doesn't mean you can't sing. Dan sang that high D, he just used a computer program to polish the note and make sure the pitch is hit dead on, but it wouldn't have been possible if he hadn't actually sung the high D in the first place. Autotune doesn't make miracles, it just polishes an audio recording, that's all. What further bothers me as person who also makes such videos is that people on TH-cam who criticize harshly often have no idea how much work it is to make such a project come to life. A video like this can take an easy 20 to 30 hours to make. Why not simply give constructive feedback on what you heard and help him improve his craft, for instance? Is there a rule against using autotune?
boy o boy, where do i even begin...
LeBarbershop
Boy of boy where do I even begin
Impeccable harmony. Highest quality of any quartet. Thanks for your creations. Always enjoyable.
0:40 I love the key change awesome
Dude, you're awesome. I've watched this at least 10 times in the past few days. love the last note. Almost sounds synthesized. Great work!
It sounds synthesized because it is very autotuned (digital pitch correction), filtered, equalized and reverbed.
Well Done! You forget, Dan, that your music for us is OUR sunshine.
I'm very happy that you are posting again! I have spent many nights binge-watching your videos. I always look forward to hearing you sing.

Love it!!
This song always makes me so sad. I like how you threw in that little motif from "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge at the end, though. ;)
This is SO good! :D
I don't think people realize how time consuming these videos are!
A....mazing!!
WOW!!!👏👏👏👏👏
This is fucking incredible
You should put the scores in the description
素敵なハーモニー❤❤❤fromJPN
u have a really good ability 👍
Is this a autotune/melodyne demo? Listen to the final chord, it sounds like a synthesizer from 80s!
Great arrangement though. Original?
do heathens by twenty one pilots
Nice job m8
Loved it but 2:37 sounds like a federal signal 2t22 siren

😇
Glados live lol
Who arranged this?
Kudos for technical merit but I didn't care much for this version of the song. Oh well. I still give the performance a thumbs up.
Why did you choose to use auto tune on this piece?
OK Mr. snark who probably can't sing. He doesn't use auto-tune.
I wasn't trying to be offensive, it was genuine curiousity but thanks for trying to insult me!

Love the composition but lay off the melodyne 🙃
