Yo Arnav, this is a very relatable journey. I was rejected in year 8 from Suzanne Cory, most likely because I didn’t try at all and just slept through my JAC tutoring. In year 9, I picked up on my studies and tried much much harder, but still unfortunately didn’t make it in. It was a real heartbreaker and disappointment because at that time I knew I tried my hardest and went to a horrible school but ultimately it wasn’t good enough. I didn’t give up there, I knew that I went to the shittest school and it was my final chance. So now in year 10, I gave it my all, blocked out all the criticism and just grinded all year. All that effort paid off, and a couple days ago I was informed that I made it in Suzanne Cory year 11 entry. Sorry for the long paragraph I guess I just wanna say; If you truly want something, give it your all and if you truly believe you can do it, you’re already 50% there.

Great video really helped. Just like you said I wish I had this last year when applying for year 9. After the test got delayed I got really lazy and my scores which were constantly high got so bad. I was disappointed in my score but even worse when some of my friends got in I felt so disappointed. This year in trying out for mhs and hopefully I can get an interview at least. 🙌🙏

Hey arnav, I’m sitting the exam next year and this video made me realise what I’m doing wrong. When I first watched it a few months ago, it was a sort of wake up call and I started trying harder in school and in tuition, and my grades have gone up like 70%. I used to be a B and C student but now I can’t even get below an A. Thanks for this vid, as if I had never seen it I would have probably flunked the exam. But now I’m really confident in my abilities and I’ll hopefully make it into schs. I’ll update you in like 2 years if I get in lmfao

I'm also studying late, I think it sort of depends on your current academic abilities? I think that if you were to put in enough effort until the entrance exam in a few months then you could definitely have a chance depending on what you're starting with. But I think that you should also try and figure out what you need to know and work on to get into the select school, if you can't exactly go to tutoring then I think you might have to put in that extra effort in finding resources to help you learn what you need to be fully prepared for the exam. defo still have a chance, but you don't learn how to get in via yt videos, rather practise, so make sure u are putting in hours of practise each day, specially in areas where you are weak, that will give you the best chance to succeed.
