Thank you for your videos! Always helpful and relevant. I just want to politely say that the correct word is "affect", not "effect". Cheers! ❤

Great advice and yep, the Hygrometer is a must it always lets you know what the air and humidity in the room is doing. Hanging a wet towel on the door really helps when it’s too dry..thanks to Daisy Tempest for that tip :) It is tricky to regulate sometimes and you can only do your best but with these tips it will help.

Fact: when my guitar is hot, I can’t make it sound good. When my guitar is cold, I still can’t make it sound good?

Vornado Evap40 humidifier & WiFi SensorPush hygrometer in the guitar room. Holds 4 gallons, so even in dry winter only have to fill every 2 weeks (very small space). Have it sitting on a mover's dolly, so easy to push to the sink for filling (put some bacteriostat in the water). The smaller the room, the better (all manufacturers over-rate the capacity of their humidifiers).

My big question is should I be concerned to take mu guitar outside in a humid environment ( Florida) just to play during a picnic. When done I keep it in a case and proper humidity. Thanks

Thanks a lot for all the advise and tips. I have a Martin Acoustic guitar. I had a phase in my life that I got sick for months and couldn't take care of my guitar during that time. By the time I could check my guitar, it had some stains of white mold in the surface. I tried to use all the products made for guitar care and it seems she is ok, but the stain remained there (is one of those guitars that doesn't have a satin lacquer). It's sad to get a stain in your instruments, but at least the damage was stopped, and the guitar still sounds great. BTW, I use a dehumidifier because I'm from the Tropic, so most of the year is very humid.

Are insulated bags okay enough to store? I don't have the money for hard cases.

Needed this, O-Towne is a very humid city during the summer. This week has been brutal too. Thanks for the tips. Cheers, Megan.

Wanted to add, I recently had to get new work boots and while at the store the salesman was about to toss a handful of those "Stay Dry" packets from the shoe boxes and I grabbed them for my guitar cases. Thanks for that tip.
