I make my own outdoor rink , host a shinney tourney and post vids about skating and shinney over here in Canada.... I wish I had your talent at making the videos!!! Great job.

Oskew Dungus In a sport orientated atmosphere where the focus is heavily based on competition, the effort artistic and creative is little to no necessity. They are surely two complete different things, however ice skating in general does share a common root. You need balance, rhythm, mobility and possibly endurance to execute these tricks, and especially on a high level if you’re aiming to master these techniques. Turning, going backwards and weight shifting are one of the few core elements you can find in many aspects in ice skating. I do not believe it is impossible for a Hockey player to learn the techniques from Freestyle skating and vice versa that is outside of the fundamental spectrum, since he/she has already mastered the basics. I believe it is much harder for somebody who does not have any experience or knowledge about ice skating to learn these artistic, advanced and skillful techniques without the proper insight of the importance of the basics. Give this Hockey player some time and he will eventually be able to execute the majority of these tricks or even exceed in Freestyle skating.

LOL nice vid. I remember I was doing a Suicidal Spread Eagle( Spread eagle but you turn against the traffic skating) and got people following me haha ... got 3 warnings for it but it was fun :D gonna be trying even more tricks this season .. thx for the tutorial too
