Steve is a genuinely nice guy. Several years ago, my sister, who was a big fan of Steve's, was home recovering from open heart surgery. One of my kids came and said they saw him and his wife at a local restaurant (we live in a small town). My niece drove my sister over, and my daughter asked him if he'd mind taking a picture with her, and he did. No hesitations, even though it meant disrupting his dinner. It made my sister's day. I'll always love him for that. Even though she's gone now, we still have that pic and the memory of how kind he was.
As someone who grew up in the 90's watching the Jerry Springer show along with everyone else, it was and still is cool to see big Steve go from everyone's favorite security guy on the show to having his own show and tackling some real hard stories and guests. And the fact that he's still going(17th season), especially with the legendary Mr. Springer no longer being here says a lot of about his authenticity. I'm glad he and Mr. Springer got to have that meet up and run down memory lane. From cop, to tv show security and now a staple in tv is a helluva story.
Born in '97, Raised up with Jerry and Steve- parents wouldn't let me watch it, so Grandma and I did together at her house 😅😂📺 good sh*t, good sh*t And remember, take care of yourself- and each other ❤
Jerry Springer started 30 years ago.... When you think back to how long ago that was, Hip Hop Golden Era hadn't even started... 2pac hadn't even got shot yet... BIG hadn't dropped, there were only averaging 5 Three-Pointers a game... My gosh, life has changed soo drastically.
@@JesusIsLordLasVegas yeah for you… Hip Hop didn’t start dominating the charts and on a worldwide scale until 1995… and I think the majority would consider 1995 - 2004 it’s peak in terms of popularity, talent and sales.

Steve just always seems like a genuine man. Always like watching hand the love has shown love has story much respect.Thank you for your service as well.God continue to blossom and always love listening to his interviews
Steve is such a genuine, kind, down to earth person. In my head he’s like that cool high school teacher you had back in da day. Like if you was one of students and he saw you somewhere in the present all grown up, he would embrace you and have a good conversation. All in all I think Steve’s a good dude.
Jess improved soooo much! I remember when she was a guest I would skip interviews because of the fillers. I’m so happy they have a young woman the opportunity to learn and grow. I’m not a fan and I think her commentary is a bit much for me, but you can’t deny how hard she’s working. I respect it.
Morning! WAKE THAT MIND UP! Thanks for sharing this conversation with Steve Wilkos, his story is inspirational, overcoming addictions, and life ups and downs. Kudos to him and his wife.
I 100% respect Steve , he helps so many people, he helps young teens get off drugs, he helps young moms , abusive relationships, him and his staff are absolutely amazing ❤ he really does get truth and justice for people Steve is so open about his struggles and depression is a very hard thing to deal with , a lot of people don't seek help and don't deal with it , and Steve turned to drink and he knows that was a stupid idea, he tells people on his show not to drink so much , but when you have that issue in your life and going through mental health struggles you turn to that one thing that makes you feel better
I'm amazed that Steve hasn't touched Alcohol in 6 years, I agree that nobody wants to be video taped in their worst times & I have no doubts that Steve will slow down from Showbiz & Steve like Jerry always says nice positive things about each other like if Jerry was here today being interviewed & talked about Steve he would say loving things about him & that he would be heartbroken if Steve died because they were so close like a father & son relationship
My middle school lunch lady was on Jerry Springer... we were bt 11-13... we shouldn't have known that... the whole damn school knew lmao What a great time to be a child lmao
@@zakbeanzly Girl.... her sister slept with her man! It's was the best day ever! I guess she didn't thing we would see it... she was wrong.... everybody saw it lmao
Love that Steve was vulnerable about his alcohol issues. So many people have a drinking problem and don't even realize it. By the time you can admit it to yourself, you've done something incredibly stupid. Steve lucky he didn't kill someone because he wouldn't be here.
Whenever I see Steve on the breakfast club I watch. It should’ve been way longer. Next time please ask in full detail how he and Rachel met and fell in love and if he’s interested in doing meet and greets in Illinois where he was a cop at.
I love Steve! He's a real one and i love how he defends the babies! Plus he is pretty self aware and that's rare these days! Great to see him take accountability. Overall good dude...
I know it still feels odd without Jerry I mean it isn't just he retired from showbiz It's the fact that his gone gone it's like none of us would seeing him on the news or at a festival or walking in town just to say hello to fans or just walk to the shops for groceries or just to have a conversation with Steve on the phone or in person or all of that normally see or hear from him every year once a year or a few time a year
I feel like Steve getting the spotlight he deserves. I always loved how he moved even though he is White it just seemed like he understood our people and culture. Shoutout to Steve you've done amazing for yourself ❤
