I do appreciate your comments about the sound mix and the intrusive banjo. It is a very small venue and the only seat I could find was right in front of the guitarist. Consequently he dominated the recording. The camera is in a Samsung mobile phone so sadly has no access to the PA system.
NIce arrangement and great horn playing. The camera angle is on the banjoist's side, but I'm not sure if that makes the banjo any louder in the mix if the camera was getting its audio from the PA system or using an external microphone.
Nice version, except that I found the banjo very intrusive and distracting. A guitar, as in the famous recording by Bix & Tram would have been much better.
This arrangement is a transcription of fletcher henderson's 1931 recording (featuring banjo), rather than the earlier bix and tram version. For a bit of trivia, the two bands actually played opposite eachother at the roseland ballroom, and rex stewart and bix actually shared a locker (according to rex's book).
A fine performance. I enjoy very much listening to it. Thank you for recording and posting it.

Loved it but sadly not a great audio mix

Maybe the microphone was too close to the banjo? Looks that way at the end of the video.
