What an exciting pair they are. Green shirt, blue jeans, and a flash of yellow create a small masterpiece on the dance floor.

5th May 2024 at Jamboree's Sunday lunch session, featuring the Pickering Brothers. Joe on reeds, Magnus on cornet and Daniel on trombone, they all delivered impressive solos. Colin Good's piano interlude would have had the Duke's approval, I'm sure.
Dancing with daddy. How much does he love you?

A charming capture of a doting and very skilful father teaching his daughter some moves. I'm sure she's absorbing the rhythms and movements, and one day, she'll be the queen of the dance floor. Filmed at Jamboree , 22nd February this year. See her father in action on my video ' Flying feet and lyrical legs' He is amazing.

Such a fine interpretation of this old song. George Aschmann's aching vocal is perfectly suited to the period.

I'm afraid I didn't record the whole tune, but I'm sharing this as it has a fine solo by Ewan.
Dancing for the sheer fun of it!

I love to watch the dancers' faces as they move so energetically to the music. Skillful and joyful.

Composed by Sam Coslow & Leo Rubin. Recorded by both Annette Hanshaw and Ethel Waters in 1929. I think Ryan Baer's phrasing here is nearer to Annette's than Ethel's.

Saw this band at the Winning post in December just wish I lived a bit nearer Brilliant Thank you all
I know the band. Magic trumpet !
I do appreciate your comments about the sound mix and the intrusive banjo. It is a very small venue and the only seat I could find was right in front of the guitarist. Consequently he dominated the recording. The camera is in a Samsung mobile phone so sadly has no access to the PA system.
NIce arrangement and great horn playing. The camera angle is on the banjoist's side, but I'm not sure if that makes the banjo any louder in the mix if the camera was getting its audio from the PA system or using an external microphone.
Loved it but sadly not a great audio mix
Nice version, except that I found the banjo very intrusive and distracting. A guitar, as in the famous recording by Bix & Tram would have been much better.
Maybe the microphone was too close to the banjo? Looks that way at the end of the video.
Where is Ewan?
Fine indeed! Is that the Jack Mason arrangement?
glad the old dude got up to dance.. he was blocking the view
why is the audience for jazz always rather old people ?
I am now in the mood for tomorrow
Just Love the music 😊😊😊
Bad sound from the singer! To soft!
You cats really have the correct sound . Congratulations. Real cool cats 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like how the older man in the gray suit dances.
I think I can count three different ‘hooks’ in this piece. Each one could be its own theme and sell. Incredibly enjoyable tune and the dancing tops it off!
You make my day what a band look at the smiles of the dancers and the guys in the band . Just wonderful , if Louie heard this , he would be smiling too!
I can't ever recall seeing three soprano saxophone played in a section. Bravo!
Mike the vocals better, please.
Marvelous! Great to see people dancing to jazz. And such good jazz!
Sounds great. Why not show the banjoist?
Sure would love for these guys to have a residency in New Orleans, especially in December when I will be there.
Who is the trumpet player ?
That's Lewis Taylor, master of the trumpet and singer extraordinaire.
This is awesome!

F A B U L O US ! If only London could be in the middle of rural Cheshire,
Music of the 1920s-30s is the best!
Wonderful! You can only be happy and elated with such a good band and this incredible classic tune! 😍😍😍
What a pleasure to see all those smiling faces. The lady in the middle at the start always looks happy
None of these dances existed in 1929
Why doesn't anyone know anything about dance in the 1920s?
I might ask why you can’t simply enjoy the music and appreciate the pleasure the dancers are having? They are not trying to recreate the 1920s, they are having fun and entertaining us all.
No line of dance? Learn to fox-trot. The real dance of the 20s

Brilliant post. Thank you for sharing.
Musicians and Dancers ..... all very good!
Too bad the dancers don't know anything about 1926.
Wonderful to see people that know how to Waltz!!
This is so enjoyable. We feel their pleasure, as it's plainly expressed on their faces and in their body language.
Wonderful entertainment ! In my viewpoint it should have 61 thumbs up so far. Love it 🥰
A belt and braces? Was he not confident in the integrity of his trousers 😊
Wow…truly a blast from the past…great sound, guys-keep it up! 10 pieces, tried and true, are the path to popularity.
Parfaitement dans le style de l'époque ! Bravo !
Presque comme le disque ! Super le son...comme dans les enregistrements des années trente ! Bravo !
Ewan Bleach is a very talented musician. Love his music. 😊
Is Ryan hiding in the back, again?
Yes, he's so shy and avoids the limelight.
These excellent Musicians deserve to perform in bigger venues.
3 Clarinets! Wow....
Love this song.
Puttin' a grin on my face. Good clean fun.
