I met Lindsay Wagner today following an event in Burbank. She was so humble, kind and centered. She took time to speak with me for a few minutes and it was a genuine pleasure. Such a treat. And she still looks great at 74!

She was candid, warm and very friendly at the Supanova sci fi and fantasy convention in Sydney, Australia on Sun 23rd June 2024. She's great!! And she just turned 75 the day before on 22 June, but in America, due to the time difference, it was on Sunday Sydney time!! She said it was her birthday present to herself to travel to Australia 🎂🤩

There is no doubt, she earned and deserved this Emmy.

Man i can’t think of another character in television where you can’t separate the actor from the character. She will always be Jaime Sommers and she absolutely deserved this Emmy as well as a 2nd Emmy for Doomsday is Tomorrow.
When they negotiated her contract for season 2 she opted out of the extra money they wanted to give her and asked for more control over the development and consistency of her character... By which I mean she took less cash so that she could play Jaime Somers as an actual person instead of going all superhero. I didn't know this when I originally watched the series but was not all that surprised when I did find out. Lindsay Wagner was and is a real class act.
A lot of people galked when Lindsey won the best actress Emmy for "The Bionic woman" because it was such a light weight series. The following year Sada won. If Kate Jackson had won it would have been career changing. "Charlie's angels" was written with her in mind to star in. The other two were mostly unknowns. Farrah had the poster which was selling million and was hired probably because of her looks? Likewise with Jacklyn Smith who was even more unknown then Farrah. The first season was fantastic! After that it was not the same. Angie also deserved to win though. It did not stop her from getting roles however. She was the hottest woman in her time! Lindsey winning was an enormous jolt to her career. She got a lot of work after the series ended with the Emmy added to her resume. A handful of episode of "The bionic woman" were outstanding despite the absurdity of the premise. That was because of the fine actress that Lindsey Wagner is! Congrads!

I met Lindsay Wagner in Mar del Plata, on January 31, 1982. Actually we met twice: the first time we talked for a while and I imitated many actors a(Roger Moore, Brando, Lee Majors) and during the same day we met again in another bar where she was eating a sandwich. We kept talking during an hour and she asked me to impersonate The six million dollar man again inside that bar, with around 50 people outside looking through the glassed doors and windows. She gave me a special photography from her and gave me a beautiful kiss. Her last sentence staring at me in a her special way and said o me a beautiful wish for my life and career. I wonder if she remembers that day, because everything was crazy and miraculous. I cannot believe that that was 42 years ago now. I was young moviegoer always dreaming to become and actor and filmmaker, which was very difficult since I was born in Argentina and passionate about American Movie History. Also we talked a lot about Robert Wise, who I ´ve already met and talked when I was 15, on my the first time (the I met him two more times years later). Robert Wise directed her in 'Two people', with Peter Fonda, so she felt so surprised by my anecdote that she kept talking to me about him during a while. Someday, the complete anecdote will appear in one of my books. I´m sure she is still pretty and lovely than that unforgettable evening in Mar del Plata. It would magical to meet her again.
