      You mean getting accepted into a university in Ireland to study for an undergraduate after high school?

    Thank you for sharing about your experience. I have a question: is it a requirement of the scholarship to leave Ireland and return to your country after finishing the study? Like, if you get a job, can you stay in Ireland or go somewhere else?

      that's also my query about these fellowships

    • @IshmaelMothibi
      @IshmaelMothibi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Enio. With this particular scholarship, there used to be a condition to return to your home country upon graduating. But it has since been removed from last year. So now you can remain in ireland post graduation to pursue career opportunities if you so wish. You just need to inform the Embassy of SA and the people who administer the scholarship in ireland.

    So the whole process takes a year?
    Because u said u applied October and you travelled to Ireland by August the following year

    • @IshmaelMothibi
      @IshmaelMothibi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes pretty much. But this year the applications are opened early. So the 2nd stage of the application will be between September and October. Interviews in November and December. IELTS exams in January and February 2021. University applications probably around March/April/May. You will get final confirmation of scholarship by end of June. So you have July and August for departure preparations. Hope this helps!

      @@IshmaelMothibi ahhh that's too much imagine I have applied to other universities and we commence school by Feb 2021
      November 2021 wil be done wth my masters

    • @IshmaelMothibi
      @IshmaelMothibi  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fashionwearsphere566 that's too bad then. The reason why it takes so long is because Irish Universities take applications from April and May, and also the academic year in Ireland starts in September, not February like other universities. If you really want the scholarship to study in Ireland, it will require patience on your side. It's very competitive as well.

    Hi Ishmael,
    Terrific videos. Kudos.
    Please can I have your email? I wish to ask a few personal questions. I was selected as the Candidate for Nigeria for the Roger Casement Fellowship last December. The slot for Nigeria is just one. I will be coming to UL and ICOS has been really supportive, and they have assisted with my admissions.
