    Thanks for the video.
I faced a problem when I was trying to open a Placemarks via excel since excel is not an option when i use (open with), it gave me a lot of option like even Microsoft word but not excel, what should I do to add excel as an option?

Many thanks! I saved marking as .kmz as I couldn't save it as .kml and converted it to .xlsx, got x and y coordinates seperately.

Helpful tip, when doing txt to columns, delimit by a space using the “other” as well as the commas… then the zeros will be put into separate columns!

      Thank you.
There was an error in changing the search
It goes smoothly because I check commas, guitar, and spaces

How can I extract coordinates from a given path at certain interval ? Let us say the road is 5km but if I want to extract the coordinate at 15m interval through the route.

this only seems to work for placemarks that were manually placed, what about for larger lists that were imported into GIS using address geocoding without coordinate data?

It ought to be mentioned that a single cell of Excel has a 32k character limitation. A polyline with many, many vertices may be defined by more characters than Excel will store in one cell. Consequently, the results of the method shown may contain fewer coordinates than defined by the kml file.

My computer had a problem where it was unable to export the Kml file of the pathway, which I just plotted on Google Earth, to Excel. It didn't show the data. Please help

    • @k11vin

you need to save the klm file then convert it to gpx file to add elevation data and then export to excel as a csv file.
