I dare to dream. We have nothing to loose at trying to give a good shot at Palace. The league is going ok and Marti might be up for a challenge. No better way than a high profile fixture to show the boys are back in town.
@@seanhowlett6293 I (James) think we will give them a good game. If we can get the first goal and get the Loftus Road crowd buzzing under the lights we have a chance. Imagine the vibe around the club if we can win, it would be fantastic.
@seanhowlett6293 a win is only possible if Palace play poorly and we play out of our skin! That said, stranger things have happened - look at Saturday's winner in extra extra time!
Thanks lads good show 👍🏼 Agree you both really we always seem a bit slow after a break and no one really stood out apart from Nardi ! Not overly bothered about the palace game it’s all about the weekend for me. Another 12.30 k/o though are we ever going to have a 3pm home game ?? COYR’s !!!!
Marti will want to prove himself against a top flight side. But I think the first goal is key to our chances - if we can get ahead and get the crowd into the game that is our best opportunity.
Our pre-season matches against Tottenham and Brighton, plus the one against Brentford recently, should have clearly demonstrated the huge task we face - both tonight against Palace and when we (finally) get promoted again!
Thanks lads. Enjoyed the show. We have to dare to dream, thats the whole point with QPR. Our goal at SW was comical 😮 but i loved it. Lets beat the Palace
If my maths is right, six of the QPR starting XI arrived in the last two transfer windows. That's a significant churn in players. It's going to take time for things to gel. In the meantime, one defeat so far this season is progress from this time last year.
@@HerFatherDidntLikeMe There has been a much greater turnover of players than expected, clearly Marti isn't sure on his best 11 or midfield shape yet, but as you say one defeat so far bodes well.
@@hoopsanddreamsQPR Yes of course better than a loss 🙂 You'd have to magine we'll have to be much much better if we're going to avoid defeat againsr Palace. The good thing it might be enough to beat Milwall hahahahaha
George sharp did you not hear from Christian noury said the squad is there but not quite there and it is still quite a rebuild going on before you can see great results.
I think none of us (especially after the last two seasons) is expecting greatness from the squad. It has taken Frey half a season to come good, so I expect the same from Santos, Saito, Madsen, Dembele and Varane. This season should be about finishing in the top 10-12 places only. Next season, well assuming the squad is largely the same, should be about a Top 6 finish!
Ok I know we were poor as you guys mentioned but Sheff Wed weren't great either, as you also said. But I and quite a few others say this every time we play them - why do we ALWAYS allow Bannan to stroll around the park to do whatever he pleases? It happened in both games last season as well - but if he can be reigned in I think it would go quite a way towards stopping Sheffield Wednesday!
@@bugbait42 Absolutely, I (James) said the same in last week's preview, Bannan needs close attention and you basically stop Wednesday in their tracks. He had so much space for his goal it was very poor.
@keithbrooks4462 I cannot wait for the return of Illias! Madsen playing on Saturday in his position was another attempt that failed, despite his efforts.
It was a really painful watch, we were absolutely crap, nobody played well, but our equaliser which looked more like rugby than football made it all worth it 😂 Regarding the Palace game if we play at our best we definitely can cause an upset but play like we did against Sheff Wed and they'll rip us to pieces because Palace will likely put a really strong side out seeing as thats what they did in the last cup game
@@Bennyboy138 good summary of our performance against Wednesday 😆 Big improvement needed but it bodes well that we can come out of a game like that with a point. Palace will be strong favourites and it just feels like the script is already written for Eze to come back and haunt us...
@Bennyboy138 I love the comparison between that goalmouth melee and a rugby game! Even when the all rushed away from the goal in celebration I was still dumbstruck! The game against Palace all centres around who starts for them and how well we play. COYRs!
Are you hearing this squad and I reckon cifeuents has worked out crystal place and will surprise them I think best thing to do not temp fate take crystal place by surprise.
@paulemmerson3196 I have been really impressed by Cifuentes' starting elevens and substitutions. When he does need to change it around (tactically or because of performance issues) he is bold and right!
@@intunewithcars9484 He was better against Luton in the cup in his last start. Coming off the bench he looks a bit lost at the moment. I still have hope though.
@intunewithcars9484 I agree with you. Celar needs to show more effort and that should get him to more balls and more opportunities. I think the jury is still out on him, but perhaps starting against Palace will enable him to gain more confidence?
our last gasp equaliser was straight out of a junior school kick about ..great stuff
I reckon it could get voted goal of the season! 😆
You couldn't have made it up, and delighted for Alfie! Now we need to convert the fighting spirit into better play.
