Having written 2 books this year and requested to publish I've already experienced frustration due to the 'quirks' of kdp classifying books as low content, and a big investment of time trying to get them to reclassify etc. But I've already learned so much. Thanks to your tips I'm excited to get my A+ content uploaded (that looks like way more work than even your video suggests) and pointing my existing clients, friends and family to my book listings on Amazon. I hope I can sell my books!
I plan on creating a A+ content for my brand of books this weekend. I created my brand's website with Mailchimp and did two campaigns-one for site launch and the other for people subscribing since they'll get a free book and I also created a Instagram and Tik-Tok for my brand of books and uploaded videos and photos recently onto both. A friend of mine is interested in buying a book I made.
Can you tell me, do you have to have an Amazon monthly or Annual membership to use kdp? I am just starting all this and would appreciate any help I can get. God Bless and thank you.

Even if their KDP reports aren't photoshopped, they almost never say how much they spend on marketing/ads. My sales numbers were pretty good for a newbie and only having one book, but I'm still in the red because I was spending more than I made on ads. I'm experimenting right now and turned ads off to see what happens... I went from about just under one book per day on average to zero in the last 12 days. Thanks for your authenticity. 🥰

@@ericadallas9839 I was setting it at $5 per day on average. My per book income was $3.22 after fees, etc. But I only published at the end of June, and I'm still playing with it. I just have to keep remembering that this is a long game, not a get rish quick thing. :) My point with some of the you tube 'gurus' is that they may get a check for 100K, but if they spent 100K + 1 on ads, then it's a bit decieving. 🤥🤔

Hi,Caroline! Thank you for a video. I was wondering about taxes. I am non US resident. Amazon is taking 30% of earnings, how much is taking US in the name of taxes? Nobody is talking taxes numbers. My native country takes 45% , so I am wondering what will be left for me if I start this escapade. Do I really have to pay it for both countries?? Very intimidating to think about doing accounting book on my own. I have started research about this two weeks ago, and was very optimistic and happy. Now not so much. Please, any info will help. It’s hard, it’s frustrating it’s very time consuming. The upfront work is huge, especially for newbies who in addition need to learn marketing sales graphic design software programs publishing ads etc etc. etc. it’s a business. You gotta love it or move on.
I still don't know where to start from, am a filmmaker and interested in publishing stories that can be adapted to films. I also am interested in KDP low contents books.
I uploaded ten English picture books “Little Wen” on October 14th. Now after one week, I have seen 157 pages read, mostly by my daughter and my friend 😂. Well, I did see seven pages read from a Indian reader. I also uploaded ten Little Wen in Chinese version. No reading yet. I couldn’t help wondering if there’s something wrong with the system. How could it be that there are millions of KU readers out there and yet, not even 0.001% people bump into my books? I contacted Amazon Kindle Unlimited to see if there’s something wrong with the system, or if everyone has to go through this “one-week no reading” period. They told me there’s no problem with their system. I’m confused.

Can anyone help me? I got suspended the other day "because you submitted titles which contain content that is freely available on the web. We don't accept content that is freely available on the web unless you are the exclusive copyright owner of that content." I used images from Canva for the cover and was asked to provide written proof from the "copyright holder granting you the right to use the image". Apparently linking to the licence agreement on Canva isn't enough? I'm so confused. These were not a single image as a cover as this would be against their licence agreement. I ended up having to remove them. These were just lined notebooks. Where am I going wrong?
@@zehrabaluch1189 I did! I still have no idea why a single element put the account at risk (maybe even though these were on Canva free they were being used without permission?). I had to tell them I'd not do it again and remove the offending books. I've not added any new ones since but might do in the New Year after Decembers royalty payment comes through.
I am a beginner but I am one of those people that enjoy the marketing portion of selling and making books 😅 it takes time and effort and sometimes I forget to work on my books 😂
