Can you do a video explain why the Carnotaurus and Allosaurus in Jurassic World: Dominion not only don't attack each other but also they they seem to get along with each other quite well during the Malta event?
Actually, there's a very clear explanation in the books. The T-Rexes cage had a massive mulch around it i.e the drop off except for a small part that let up from down below to the side of the fence to allow the t-rex to come up and feed on the goat within view of the passing cars. This way that if the t-rex ever tried to escape it could only escape for a very small part of the fence. Of course they did not count on there being a massive hurricane and most of the staff having left. And with The fence being electrical and the paddock being filled with food, water and everything else the t-rex we need. They didn't believe there'd be a reason for it to even try to escape on that small viewing heel.

Nah, think of it like this. If there's a big moat n a concrete wall taller than rexy around 99% of her paddock then there's no reason to electrify most of the fence. So at the observation area you can place more security measures like extremely high voltage fencing. Remember it was never intended for the rexes to be at that area of the fence while the power was off
@@jpfan4life812 it would. But you also have to have a viewing area. So you bring the elevation up in the one area where the visitors will pass by, put an underground tunnel with an elevator to give the rex snacks, n electrify the beejesus out of the fence in that one area n boom, safety inspection passed. The rex wasn't supposed to be by that area when the power was off, for maintenance n whatnot
Lego Jurassic world game shows it exactly on the edge of the Rex paddock, and you can go down there. The goat was pretty much in the front corner next to the drop off.

I actually picked up on it later. You can see the start of the slope just in the right-hand background where Alan tells Lex to stay by the drainpipe so he can go get Tim down out of the tree.
If you look at the scene, the section that they went over the edge at was also one past where the fence was there, just a short concrete barrier as that section of it does not have the posts for the fencing, so it was closer to the tunnel end of things there.
I never noticed the fact that the T-Rex was able to get above the dropoff despite the dropoff being 50-60 feet tall until I watched this video, also maybe one of the reasons was the T-Rex’s height, I mean like like, a 6 feet tall human is tiny compared to the T-Rex
@AlbatrossRevenue Trexes don’t hopped like frog and rabbit and grass hopper you dummy the fence design features a slope leading up to the edge, allowing the dinosaurs to essentially “walk up” the inline and get over the barrier, effectively negating the drop-off as a significant obstacle.

Another thing to take into consideration is that the raised area literally has an elevator in it for the goats which means theres a service tunnel leading to that for workers to give snacks to rexy. All of that would take up a fair bit of space under the all you can eat goat bar
What doesn’t make sense to me still is that the massive hole where Rexy escaped from is right in front of the drop off. Like it appears ripped open specifically in that spot
Most of the paddock was shot in the studio so that explains some of the inconsistencies in the choreography and continuity but I always thought when I was younger that the T-Rex pushed the car to the other side of the road where there was the moat drop off and I thought that until someone pointed out that the car is on the same side. I now accept that the T-Rex pushed the car further down because you can see multiple breaks in the fence on screen, not just one. Even if it's a little choppy that's a legitimate explanation especially because it was choreographed that way.
6:40 - 6:50 Your explanation here fails to take into account the apparent change in direction of the electric jeeps. As they approach the paddock at 6:48 the fence is to the left of the jeeps but when the T. Rex gets through the fence it is to the right of the jeeps.
Great video but sorry to say I think your not the first to explain, I believe Klayton Fioriti's channel did this about 5 yrs back complete with the same script drawing. Good to once again dive into it tho.👍
Actually there's a very clear explanation. It's simply a mistake. The filmmakers stated publicly, albeit quietly, many years ago that they fucked up. The Production Designer and Art Director and even Spielberg himself overlooked the logic of the scene and didn't even consider they'd need to explain the lack of continuity. In the book, the T-Rex paddock does indeed have a concrete moat behind the fence line that separates the enclosure from the fence line. And yes, in the film, Hammond does mention the existence of moats when discussing security measures. However, the Making of Jurassic Park book contains early concept art for the film which shows a couple of concept examples of the paddock with a moat but the final design that was constructed by the Art Department does not have a moat which indicates the filmmakers opted out of building it (either due to cost or a lack of necessity)...that is until they realized they had to drop the jeep into a tree. In the film, during the daytime scenes showing the T-Rex Paddock (filmed on location in Hawaii) there's clearly no moat behind the fence. You can literally see ground, tree trunks, and shrubbery in each direction of the frame and then there's the whole thing about the goat coming up out of the ground. However the nighttime scenes where the Rex breaks free (filmed on a soundstage) a moat exists and it's only revealed once the Rex begins to push the Jeep over the concrete lip and through the fence line. In the book, the T-Rex basically tosses the jeep up into a tree off to the side of the Tour Jeeps' road which is something they were never going to be able to pull off in the film at that time. So in a way, the Jeep being pushed through the fence line and falling into the tree was the alternative/solution to the book's handling of the Jeep. Oversights and mistakes, even big ones like this, happen all the time in Film and TV.
There is actually a very simple explanation for this scene - the T.rex goes through the fence between the two jeeps, then it goes to Lex's and Timmy's jeep, much further ahead, pushes it even further ahead, and then drops it off at that location. So the T.rex was actually quite far away from the precipice when it went through the fence.
While I can respect the explanation behind the drop off, two issues I've always had with it are 1) If the rex is down below it, the people in the cars will only see the head. Of course that's why you put the goat on the level ground so the rex has to walk up the hill, but still. 2) That drop off has to be extremely severe because it's like 5 feet from the goat on level ground to a massive 50 foot cliff. In the novel, it's explained that the rex picks up the car and throws it into a nearby tree by the side of the road (not into the tyrannosaur paddock). So to explain how the car ended up in a tree in the film, they made a drop off and had it fall into the trees below because to film the mechanical rex picking up a car and throwing it probably would've been hell.
I could be wrong....but the cars pass by the trex paddock twice. The first time is when we see them come out of the tunnel....the second time they would have been going the other direction...twards the tunnel. So idk maybe that makes a difference in how we dont see the moat on screen
Hey there shadows I just got done watching this video and it makes sense how the trex got out how you see the trex walking on ground and then later you see a drop off, now I have really never thought about that but I’ve always known seeing the trex walking on ground then you see a drop off but I didn’t really wonder how the trex got across, but it going up a hill does make sense how it got up there to escape, and I believe that Dr grant and the kids didn’t go up the hill probably because they didn’t see it, by the way the video was great 👍🏻, shadows could you do a video on what happened to the dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park.
I always assumed that the ledge was opposite the t rex enclosure, so if the cars drove up and you saw the enclosure on your left the car was pushed off the right side.
The ledge is some distance in front of the place where the T.rex breaks out; the T.rex came from an area that was closer to Alan's and Ian's car, whereas the precipice was closer to Lex's and Timmy's car. If you carefully check the scenes in the movie, then you can see that this was how it happened.
Or the feeding area only slopes in one direction, the other is a straight drop off. So the Rex has to approach it from either the other side, or walking towards the fence. It doesn't have to be a hill on all sides. This isn't a plot hole, its a nitpick.
Hasn’t anybody seen the map they got of the T-Rex paddock. I have and there’s 2 routes that take to the fences and in the middle it’s the huge gap where Alan and the Ford Explorer fell off.
I seriously feel I'm the only person on the planet who figured that out from the start. Granted, I was about 11 when I first saw the movie, and kids usually jump the most simple conclusion, which is usually the correct one. All those people saying it made no sense were just overthinking.
When you watch this part of the film, the front car door is closed when the T rex is walking around and stays closed until the kid closes it and the T rex looks at them. How did it open ?

6:40 - 6:50 Your explanation here fails to take into account the apparent change in direction of the electric jeeps. As they approach the paddock at 6:48 the fence is to the left of the jeeps but when the T. Rex gets through the fence it is to the right of the jeeps.
I’ve always thought about this as a kid. That’s wild.
The T-Rex say nope nope❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I love dinosaurs like you
Great video but sorry to say I think your not the first to explain, I believe Klayton Fioriti's channel did this about 5 yrs back complete with the same script drawing.
Simple she is so mighty and powerful she can walk across with no problem bow down to the queen
"You bet Jurassican" is the best outro
That Dino crisis soundtrack 🥹
Return to garage ;)
What about the tunnel they came out of during the day, but was gone that evening when the T-rex escapes?
Exactly, plus why didn't Muldoon drive through the tunnel when they were trying to evade Rexy?
Link to the background music of your videos?
Totally didnt thought about it.
It's 23.57 and i got overthink by this AGAIN
This has constantly been playing on my mind
Nice video! I will be honest. I did not think about it. I missed that detail.
this has been on my mind a lot
Hope it answered some questions!
That was just my Explanation, one Side was just deeper than the other.
Ngl, this bugged the 💩 out of me when I saw it in the cinema as a kid.
Muldoon and Ellie manage to get down to where the Car was, with little problem.
What is the music from the start?????
Jurassic world indominus rex theme
Also why would you design an enclosure where you couldn’t see the Rex down a hill?
Crazy I never thought about that wtf how the trex grew invisible wings
I always assumed that the ledge was opposite the t rex enclosure, so if the cars drove up and you saw the enclosure on your left the car was pushed off the right side.
The ledge is some distance in front of the place where the T.rex breaks out;
the T.rex came from an area that was closer to Alan's and Ian's car, whereas the precipice was closer to Lex's and Timmy's car.
Thats intresting but i am still confused.
Poorly designed enclosure. 😂
How was the public ever meant to clearly see the Rex...
Love it, logical thinking
Can make rewew about how rexy got into visitors center?
Or it could be "Subverting expectation"
And yet, when Jurassic World revisits the site of the suv, it's not a moat and clearly part of open space.
i am still just gonna go with paleontologists have the power to summon massive cliffs out of nowhere.
Maybe rexy uses her tail to jump just like gex the gecko
I honestly thought maybe it was just the height of the T-rex when I was a kid
