Apology, but the point of view sounded in this video is wrong.
The Jewish community began immigrating in large numbers, as many other people did, including the Uzbeks or Tajiks, after the collapse of the USSR, BUT not because of Islamic terrorism. Multiethnic Uzbekistan has never been in the vibe of any terrorism. Your video is stating WRONG fact.

They migrated because they feel that Islamic rule will not bring progress and they are very right about that. Look at the middle east now it is in constant turmoil after collpase of USSR.

Hi Nadira, all the Bukharian Jews and other nations left Andijon after the pogroms happened on May 2, 1990. These pogroms were initiated by Islamic extremists from "Birlik" and supported by Uzbekistan's government. I don't know how old are you, may be you didn't know that or your parents didn't talk about it. The Islamic extremism started in 1989 and first issue happened in Fergana, were Usbeks killed Turkish people. In Andijon in 1990 the extremists burned our homes and workplaces where worked Jewish and Armenian. If you want, I can send you a video about this issue. It is in Russian. What was my point - the Jewish exodus from Uzbekistan started BEFORE the USSR was collapsed.

@sonny po I am not kidding. You are talking about a period when Karimov was your president. I am talking about the Soviet time. You can argue with your mom and other, but I was there and knew what exactly happened. If current Uzbekistan rules didn't block a videos from that pogroms, you can find and watch it. This video was captured by milicia of Andijon. In this video it is showing how the young people under drugs, are starting disorder in the stadium and a big crowd they went to the Yangi bozor. There were NO ONE from milicia, to stop them!!!
The Jewish houses were marked by somebody. On usbek houses had the national headscarf on the doors or gates. In the morning of the next day, my neighbor, he was uzbek, told me: "don't leave your home, I will bring you whatever you need. I know what happened yesterday night and it is dangerous for you and your family. Don't move and stay at home". I was not able to stay at home because my parents lived in Yangi bazar and all the phones were disconnected. I was not able to call them to ask if they are alive.
Sonny po, I didn't tell the pogroms has been initiated by religious people. Read again my comments.
I am telling you again: Jewish people, same as Armenian people left Andijon because of the pogroms. Most of these people left in 1990, early 1991, BEFORE the USSR collapsed and difficult economy. Some and very few Jewish families left in Andijon for 2-3 years after 1991.
If you want to see what really happened and if your country will not block these videos, watch them:

@@alexkal63 That's why you got everything mixed up, in Uzbekistan there is no nationalism towards any nations, in the video this is a planned action, we have nothing to do with these atrocities, do not forget that during the Patriotic War Uzbekistan sheltered hundreds of thousands of Jews from the occupied lands, of course you will not mention about it.

I am Bukharian born in Bukhara. What has been said about B Jews is true there is only a small minority of Jews left in here mainly old people and they do not want to move out of their own home since they love it 😍. Anyway it is good know know that there are many Bukharians scattered all around the world.
