First, Right on Mark. A great friend gave me a Rode wireless 2 mic. It didn't have the cord to connect it to a Samsung or iPhone cellphone so I ordered the cord from Amazon for the Samsung and when I got it unfortunately it didn't work. The cord wasn't cheap either so that kind of stymied me. I have had decent luck with the lavalier mic's though. They are cheap but functional. Not very resilient though. I really appreciate all the advice you gave me when I was starting out. You saved me a good amount of frustration for sure. I like filming with the cellphone because I can capture, edit and upload all on the same device. Thanks again Mark!

Strange about the Rode and your phone. I had issues like that with an older phone. I am able to attach my Rode to my newer Samsung using the phones USB-C port and it works great. Thanks for commenting Steve

You can probably identify. I started out on the cheap and only moved up out of necessity. I always second guess my purchases but they end up being a good value if they work they way I want them to. Still have not invested heavily in expensive gear and I am not sure I need to. Excellent video. Really like the microphone. I as well use Filmora and has been the best editing program so far to date for me. Happy New Year. Take care Fred

Hi Fred. A good mic is worth its weight in gold. I have been looking at the DJI mics but they are a bit expensive. May buy them yet. Thanks for commenting

Thank you for sharing all this information. I have been using GoPro's but have found out that temperatures in the 30's or 20's zaps the batteries. Have had other issues with the GoPro as well. Just wondering how the battery life is for the DJI?? I am going to check out a lot of that equipment you suggested. Always looking for something to improve the videos. Again, thank you for sharing.

I have not had too much issue with the cold as I keep my spare battery in my pocket. The run time is short regardless compared to my Canon camera. I just purchased two more extra batteries, just in case. Having the power bank with my has saved me a few times. Thanks for commenting

@@MarkYoungBushcraft thanks for getting back to me. I have already pulled the trigger and ordered the DJI Osmo Action 3 Adventure Combo. This whole thing was cheaper than buying my GoPro Hero 8 Black camera!! I have watched several reviews of the DJI Action 3 and even looked at the specs for operating temperatures and saw down to -4 degrees F operating temperature. Well, I know if it is down in the signal digits, I am not going to be out in the woods hunting. Again, thanks for the reply.
