re: Red wines ~ Bordeaux wines are more Cabernet & Merlot grape varietals, whereas Burgundy is Pinot Noir, this might help you decide which might suit your taste 😊 but both regions produce some of the absolute best wines in the entire World.

Burgundy is the GOAT mainly because of the way land is distributed. Also because money and demand for Burgundy doesn't have such a direct influence on the land in the way it does with Bordeaux. With that being said, it's all relative to the consumers taste and how relative the journey of the product is to the consumer.
