I'm 69 years old and have been a baseball fan from the early 60s. I've seen all of the great players of the last 50-60 years either on tv or in person and I've never seen anything like this guy. Just absolutely amazing to watch what he's doing.
hehehe 69 years old
69 nice
You could be 169 and I don’t think you’d have seen a guy like Ohtani.
@@YogSoth Only one other guy could pitch and hit this well...namely the great bambino
You’re the first 69 y/o that’s on TH-cam….😂
Does anyone else watch Shohei’s highlights then watch it again and again? 😂 He’s so good and so humble 💪🏼
I do!!! Again and again and again...
Ive seen the ohtani vs trout matchup about a million times
yeah, I question who I am as a person, cause Ohtani is such a good example how to be as a human being.
nah the rest of us have a life
I’m a Tigers fan but I’m not even mad. Just unbelievable talent
I think we can speak for all tiger fans that were not mad, and that we are witnessing literal history and all you can do is just watch and enjoy 😂
I think people who were are the game were not mad at all, watching history being made and witnessing greatness live, in person. Imagine 50 years later telling grandkids you saw Ohtani throw a complete game shutout then casually launch two bombs. it's amazing.
The other day, Atlanta fans booed the Braves at home after they intentionally walked Ohtani. I think every sports fan appreciates how rare a player like this is. If he beat the Yankees 12-0 and drove in all the runs himself I’d still watch the replay over and over.
Best game ever.
The single greatest performance a player has EVER had in one day of baseball
Our mission is to pass this legend on to future generations.
I agree, and not only about Shohei. All baseball fans need to make baseball win while we are alive and that will keep this legend shining.
Inspiration of the generation. It doesn’t matter if he’s Japanese or American, what happens on the field is an international language
agree, bro 👍🏻
兄弟👍
Nicely said.
👍
Y’all will learn to BOW!
I'd like to thank country of Japan and Ohtani's parents for raising this once-in-a-generation talent. Nothing but respect for this talented and humble man. Arigato!!!
Japan's Iwate are forced to hold the ball from the moment they are born. At the age of 1 year, a cast is required. And so Shohei Otani, Rouki Sasaki, and Yusei Kikuchi were born.
You must thank one of his coaches, they are the one who pushed Ohtani to be a 2 way player.
nah. it's japanese rice. nothing to do with talent.
When the Mom is an athlete as well, it's good genes to the children. Mother was a "national-level badminton player."

I wish this dude a long healthy career. So fun to watch!
The greatest single day performance in baseball history. Nothing even compares
lol non-HOFer Fernando had 27 complete game shutouts by the age of 26.... and he is NOT a HOFer..
ie the 20 yr old Valenzuela had 8 shutouts in his rookie season... Ohtani has 1 .... lol
ps. Fernando hit Homeruns too

As an Asian American, I’m just happy he’s getting the love and respect all over. He really is making a wave!! Ohtani sensei!!
No human on this planet can do what he’s doing. NO ONE.
absolutely not
There is another… (max Clark)
@@Griddy99 He prob couldn't pitch.
@@steamedclams5689 he is a one of a kind hitter, just because he has one amazing doubleheader doesn’t mean he’s the best all time. I think he is a top candidate for top current, but I don’t see how you are comparing him to the best all time
We all knew he's not human
That was just insane. MVP by miles. Ive never seen anything like this before in baseball
This man is why I watch baseball now. GOAT
Ohtani shows the world how fun baseball can be
Great playing!
Reminds me of that back-to-back game where he got 8 RBI and 13 K.
Yeah, today’s performance is like compressing that one in 2 consecutive days twice.
本当に!

The word "MVP" does not even begin to describe Shohei Otani.
It's really wild. Like, it's an UNDERSTATEMENT to call this man a "generational talent." Just incredible.

Ohtani having a great season for his limited baseball player abilities.
Anything is possible. There is no limits. One human proves that. Shohei Ohtani.
Never thought I would be interested in watching baseball 😂 that’s how you know he’s good good, meaning he makes this entertaining to an baseball outsider like me
That dude is on his own level. Just Unreal. Give him the ‘MLB MVP ‘ already.
The MVP, give him the trophy now
Got tickets a while ago and I near lost it when I found out it was gonna be a double header with Ohtani pitching! Even as a Tigers fan this was something special to see live that I am very grateful for.

I was there! This was UNREAL.
I’m very grateful to be alive and witness his greatness!
Ohtani came up with a simple answer today.
"I see, so I just need to throw and win and hit a homerun."
After the late 90's and seeing how many missed opportunities my Braves had, I lost interest in the sport but damn has Sho been bringing the house down.
In a span of 3 hours this man almost had a perfect game, then hits two hr's? Are you kidding me? Hand this man the MVP already
almost no hitter, had 3 walks
Your Braves are now a strong annual with the NL MVP 🤟🏼 after I’m done collecting Ohtani cards I’m going after Acuna’s cause his cards are ridiculously cheap right now
It’s been a pleasure watching him

Braves just needed a Freddie Freeman during that era. They would have swept house.
In the illustrious history of MLB, Shohei is achieving something unparalleled and awe-inspiring. Many fans are still unaware of the immense value of his accomplishments. We are all fortunate witnesses to the making of extraordinary history! Let's GO Shohei, you are rewriting the game!!

we are witnessing a living legend. we must appreciate him while he is still playing
Shohei is absolutely worthy of multiple MVPs in a single season.
Just give him the MVP. Even if he didn’t play a single game after today his stats are MVP worthy.
Nobody in baseball deserves to be paid more than this man EVER!!!!!!!
Shohei truly beat tigers two times a day by himself ! just can not imagine that baseball can play by only one person! This is not student baseball, this is mlb!🤯🤯
What a sensational performance from Shohei! I really hope the angels can get a shot in the playoffs. Rooting for you Sho and please stay healthy!

Ohtani is not a "once in a lifetime" player. Ohtani is a "once EVER" player. There has never been anyone like him before and will likely never be again. If he played close to me I would attend every game he pitched just to say "I saw him pitch live!" to my grandkids
