You do not have to remove the A/C compressor. You can remove the Radiator fan without draining the coolant. It will take less time, and do not remove the air filter housing.
Yes ive done it 3 times from the bottom, way easier and probably even easier if you have a lift, I do it in my dirt driveway, and yes, pull the radiator fan out and disconnect the top radiator hose
Taking the ac compressor out and dropping from the bottom is much easier than taking studs off and doing coolant flush. You are already taking the AC lines off so to take the compressor out is right there easy.
I was able to do everything but the belt from the top on mine, and was able to get it all out and in just fine after removing the big sensor on the front of the valve cover.
Easier to pump down and recharge A/C than to pull off a rad hose???? In whose universe? And buddy. The coolant bleeder is staring you right in the face right there on the thermostat housing. Removing the rad fan assembly is the way to go and that’s been the procedure even on the older caravans. These vans are.actually a pretty good vehicles. There are lots of vehicles out there with challenging or difficult component replacement. Dodge doesn’t have an exclusive on it. You need to know the procedure on any vehicle.
Why is this harder than all the other videos on youtube hmmmmmm anyway, great job but what is the fuse for the alternator? on Town and Country or Routan?
Dodge can stuff their junk products up their ace! Part alone close to $400! Local labor $400!!! Shop wanted $800 to do this job! I did it for part alone. 2.5 hrs done.

In the 2014 you can lower the compressor with lines still attached. The whole job can be done from underneath.

It is not that hard I just give more details then needed probably, this fuse is in the fuse box in the engine compartment

So how can I bypass alternator on grand caravan to find out if alternator is good?
Plug in a service computer and perform an alternator test.
Take the fans out and you don’t need to do anything but take them out. Way to much work
