I love your cardigan! I have that same Kaweco Sport in that gorgeous colour.

Thanks! I love them (the cardigan and the pen!)

I started out with all EF pens and was put off by thicker line weights, but now I love my M and Stub nibs so much and still use my EFs too! Fountain pens are so much fun. 😊❤

So much fun!! I think I was skeptical of thicker FP nibs because I don't like how thicker ballpoint or gel pens write, but it is completely different with a FP. And you really do need the thicker line weight for some inks.

I commend your self control in fountain pen purchases. I started head-first into the bottled ink world, as my first fountain pen I bought was the Twsbi Eco. As you love using black ink, I HIGHLY recommend trying Platinum Carbon Black pigment ink. It’s really well behaved in basically any pen, and it’s super bleed and feather resistant.

Good to know! Adding the ink to my list! I kinda wish I went head first into bottled ink because I have cartridges know that I never use and even when I think about getting a new pen I automatically check to see if I can get a converter at the same time, if needed.

Thanks for your video, I really enjoyed it. You can easily fill your Twsbi Eco pens with a syringe, just pull out the nib and feed, make sure the piston is retracted all the way, you get a really good fill that way

Ooooh. Good to know, especially when I want to use an ink sample! I tried removing the nib when I first got it and couldn't get it out. so I'll try again.

You have great self control for only having 5 pens. I am a newbie to fountain pens as well and I have gone crazy buying all the things!

I'm struggling! The closest store to me is a bit out of the way for me to get to so I think that's what's stopping me from getting everything. But with the weather getting nicer, I may be stopping by a bit more often.

enjoyed hearing about your fountain journey. Like you, I also started with ef and f and am enjoying venturing into the meadium, broad, and even stub nib world! My surprise moment was when I got my Pilot prera in the cursive medium...which to me just looks like a regular stub...and was just amazed at how fancy my writing suddenly looked and how different the same ink colour looked too!

Thanks! It's amazing how the different size nibs make such a difference in how it all appears.

Love this! Btw, you can try a Majohn A1 which is a clone of the VP if you want to try it out first. I have an A2 which is the same as an A1 and a VP but has a plastic body and I have a real Pilot VP nib unit in it. I love it! I also have two other actual Pilot VP’s but the one with Majohn body is lighter and is my favorite.

Thanks! I'll definitely try out it out first before potentially getting a VP!

I want to get Diamond Gingerbread. Check out the Asvine retractable pen. They makes great pens. I think the Asvine retractable is about $65 CAD.

Not Asvine _Creator and Majohn have retractable FPs.

I'd never heard of either brand but I'll check them out. The Asvine retractable looks like a nice alternative to the Pilot.

TWSBI has a pipe and I *think* it can be used for filling up the cartridges.. but I'm not sure. Have you seen it?

Great video! Super cool intro to the different options for beginners. My first FP was a Pilot Metropolitan and I got spoiled because Pilot’s nibs are just so smooth. I quickly ended up buying pens I couldn’t afford 😅
Just a note for the future- hope you don’t mind this unsolicited correction- but TWSBI is spelled with the W before the S and the pronunciation is the same (so Twis-bee)! Hope this helps 😊

      @adeleashley_  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

I've heard that the Pilots are really smooth. I'm actually considering grabbing a Metropolitan cause I like the profile of them.
And thanks for the note! I'll definitely correct moving forward!
