It might just be the extra black in the design, but something about this game's Starscream design kinda looks like a blend of G1-styled and Armada to my eye. Now I hope he can use swords in the final game.
I have that very same thought as well. The futuristic Earth jet design, the upper body & big patches of black totally scream Armada. Along with a bit of Animated (the legs) & a hint of Prime (expressive articulated wings) This is by far one the best Starscream designs we've ever seen by combining the best aspects of each version.

this bumblebee resembles the transformers: animated series bee, with the stingers in the back and the vehicle style. its like this is the more aged version of that version of bumblebee
While I will likely not get these figures, Starscream has a couple features I liked. The fact they gave him a nose cone that folds away like the cartoon and the blue panel on the back of the vehicle hinting that his arms fold up G1 style (I suspect he transforms in the game in a G1esque way). Overall, I think the Bumblebee is pretty cool looking. Definitely like the VW Bug upgrade look.
Is it Just me or Does Bee's Heel's look Like Animated Bumblebee's Stinger weapons? And Does his gun Plug into his hood in Vehicle Mode? The promo pic showed they do....
I read somewhere that the asymmetrical colors are because in the game Starscream got blown up and repaired and the black bits are the newly added replacement parts. That's why the sculpting is different too.

how much about the game do you know? from what I gather the autobots and decepticons are joining forces because something is threatening both and they can't properly repair themselves because earth is in a post apocalyptic state thus the asymmetry

This however FEELS like how you would 'level up' Bumblebee. Bumblebee was never meant to be a sportscar; He's a SCOUT. Making him an all-terrain meched-out buggy just feels right. And the vehicle mass is so well distributed through him. Starscream has definitely got some Prime Starscream DNA in him. He's lankier, though not anorexic like Prime Starscream, and he looks... well, kind of tired of your shit rather than smirking overconfidently. I still like him considerably better than the blocky Earthrise Seeker mold.
Starscreams eyes are blue for no reason just like in earthspark. I guess people got tired of seeing Starscream have red eyes and want to see a blue eyed villain.
Or more likely, there's an in-game reason which we've yet to discover for now. We'll find out why once the game comes out. But for now, we'll just let Splash Damage take all the time they need & let them cook
Bumblebee's instructions are just bad. Steps 4/5 need to be done first, full stop. If you do it first, everything works super smoothly, and none of the parts get hung up or stuck.
My one hope for this game is that Bumblebee has an actual voice. I will never, ever forgive Michael Bay for that stupid decision to make Bumblebee a mute that communicates with quotes he records from the radio. It did immeasurable damage to the character as a whole as other shows copied that nonsense. Not to mention that, bruh, Bumblebee can return form the dead in basically every movie, even reassemble himself, but his voice box is impossible to repair?
I'm not digging these all. Starscream looks like...um...like building a plane out of Legos, but you don't have the right bricks. He gives off a Energon (Unicron Triology) feel. Bumblebee, all my mind kept saying was, different colors and different head and it's someone else. This feels rushed after Hasbro laid off workers.
