- Welcome to my Kerala series. This is the first of many Kerala vlogs and here I am exploring some food in Kerala - Munnar.
I found a restaurant in Munnar serving South Indian Thali. When I was going in there for a meal, I only checked if it was Vegetarian on not. And after eating the South Indian Thali there I found out that it was a tamil style thali. This is my first proper Tamil food experience and i have to say that it was super duper! I've tried a number of thalis - Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Punjabi - however i feel that a South Indian thali is always the healthiest. I hope I get to explore more kerala food - especially authentic south indian food in kerala. We tried south indian food for the very first time 2 weeks ago! It was mind blowing so good- usually we are always exposed to northern indian food in western country but this is just an eye opener for us who are non indian!

@Sushmita Rathore could b but still nobody has beetroot bhaji in a tamil style thali. All veg thalis brahmin or non brahmin more or less have the same items.
@Sushmita Rathore true even amongst south indians its the same. Fancy restaurants keep anythg in the name of thali however no thali has a beetroot sabji. I mentioned my caste but i never said that this is not a tamilian brahmin thali i mentioned that this is not thali of tamilians.
God why do you guys have to be like pretencious know it all's? So what if they use some other vegetables? Did you write some book on Tamil thalis or do research. Then first show that.

Loved that Thali, looks delicious. Want to tell you one thing, you must visit a place called Nagpur one, I have heard that the food is quite delicious and the place is quite interesting, so I think that you should visit Nagpur once.

Kudos! 2 small suggestions; please eat rice - especially dal/sambar rice with hand and not with spoon. No, it would not look messy or ugly. sm k I would love to eat with hands...but I have to keep them relatively clean because my husband and me take turns filming...so quite difficult to keep wiping them 😊😊 but I did enjoy one full sadya with my hands and it was an experience 😇
