Sassy: Welfare Grooming With A Fearful Dog

'❤ Sassy update ❤
Sassy's behaviourist and foster mum Lucy took her to see her groomer Lisa at Groomer on the crouch yesterday, to tackle her nails for a second time. Thank you both ever so much ladies for making the process as stress free as possible 🙏🏻
Sassy's stress levels are high when being handled by strangers in a grooming or veterinary environment, she's not familiar with these things and she has never built a positive association with them. As a team we are doing all we can to help her feel more comfortable and with her ultrasound appointment coming up it is a vital part of her wellbeing plan.
It will take time and patience, but already we are seeing huge improvements in her ability to adapt; as soon as they were done with the trim, she was back to her happy self rather than hiding away in panic. She is building resilience every day ❤
Her nails look fantastic now and she will be feeling much more comfortable which is the best news.
