Great video. I’m a newbie to photography, and heading to Banff next week. Lake Moraine is definitely on the “to do” list. Any suggestions? Questions….bracketing? Ps….I’m also a Bruin fan! 🤣
Thanks! My tip for Moraine Lake is get the early. Like really , really early if you want to shoot sunrise. 2-2:30 am. The parking lot is small and fills up very fast! lol But hey, if you get there that early take advantage and shoot the night sky from the rock pile as well. You will not be disappointed! Bracketing wise, shoot one shot under exposed, one shot normal exposure and one more shot over exposed. But really you might not need to bracket there. It just depends on the light that day. (If you have a soft edge , graduated filter that'll be best. Again though it's not a hard necessity.) Good luck! PS- Go Boston! lol Cheers Huch
I used to work/live there back in '90. I was in charge of the canoes, and I used to save Americans that were blown down the far end of the lake. The picture on the $20 bill was in fact compressed to fit in all the peaks.
Hey Bodhi, thanks for watching! I’d still stack just to make sure. I always air on the side of “might as well do it “ just in case it doesn’t work out when you go to edit and see it on you computer. I find it depends on your lens. But since it doesn’t cost to push the shutter, I stack just to make sure I’ve got it. Cheers 🍻
Just found your channel, love your video and your shots are simply beautiful! Definitely is now on my bucket list!!!
Thanks buddy, Awesome! Thank you!

I’m jealous of that opportunity!🤘🏻❤️
Great educative video. Love it. Can you tell me if the rock in the front is ahead of the hyperfocal distance, do you still need focus stacking ?

I had planned a trip for last year. But, Covid shut everything down. Still waiting for the border to open up. Hoping for Fall of this year.
You’ll never regret shooting Moraine. Covid times suck, plain and simple! The good thing is this beauty isn’t going anywhere. 😉🇨🇦🤘🏻
Great video! Loose the music though, it detracts from the video.
Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
