I don't see it as 100 shades. I see it as 25 to 30 shades per UNDERTONE, which is brilliant and makes good sense. Think about it . . . .
That's true. I think it's a shame that in a range of 100 that they don't have any dedicated olive shades though 🤔

my dost honestly Rihanna did make an amazing shade range. 40 shades is not groundbreaking but they spent a lot of time on each shade so they covered from extremely fair to extremely dark tones when other brands had 50 shades but mostly tan so their range wasn’t expanding to extremely fair and deep people. I feel you about the lightness I’m in the middle kind of tones so a lot of foundations work on me, but my sister is extremely paper fair and can’t use a lot of foundations like Fenty or some I recommend like Dior Airflash which does not go even close to light enough. Some that she’s been using that go extremely fair for her are from Nars, Bobbi Brown, or Rimmel if you’re more on a budget.

It matched beautifully. I like the travel-sized tester concept. I remember ordering samples from Black Up in the past and I wish more companies knew just how helpful that is.
As a pale as heck white girl I appreciate knowing that they seem to be doing the extremes well, and I'm SO excited that the deep ladies FINALLY don't seem like an afterthought. I'm going to actually check this out!

Boxycharm has a lot of their products in their boxes. In my opinion, they are a hit and miss brand though.. like you either love them or hate them, there’s really no in between

There are the brand in Walgreens with 3 shades of white foundation. That’s what I know them for. Glad they are finally adding more shade ranges.
They’re kind of a boring brand, no one really talks to them because they dont pump out products as quickly as too faced or colourpop but dont release quality/intriguing products like abh or fenty. They’re kinda like it cosmetics, mainly older people (like 35+) use them

@@holyhellitsautumn I think yeah because they treat the white influencers (nikki) better than the black influencers although there are no lack owned. Even Alyssa Ashley has a beef with them. And I support the both. Some other smaller influencers raised their voice against this brand. So I won't give them my coins.

Until there is yellow toned foundations try finding a yellow foundation. It is made to correct your favourite foundations. You get your shade and a your favourite formulas.

It's like the cosmetics industry defines fair, light, medium, and dark by Caucasian standards and not by general "people" standards. If that makes sense lol.

people do this in my comments all the time too. when I try a product and explain why it doesn't work for me, there's nothing more annoying than someone (on the opposite end of the shade spectrum, mind you) in the comments trying to argue me about it, or insinuate I'm ungrateful because I don't shut up and make it work. Like ok, since you know so much and are the expert on complexions, why is this industry still in this predicament in the first place?
Courtney Washington I agree! Because by our standards, im a light-caramel skinned black girl. But by the cosmetic industry standards, im dark. Theres a TON of shades between my color and the darkest foundation shade, but most brands only squeeze that range into 3-10 shades and call it “deep”. Its a shame they dont take into account our various shades & undertones
Hope V consider that what you may consider “dark”, it gets a lot darker. When it comes to foundation, there’s often much darker ppl than the darkest shade they have.
