Easy peasy fix, duplicate stitch those stitches right out a there!!!!!!!!! HA ha, I replied before you said it...and I felt your emotion and did tear up. Absolutely love your family story!
I was so happy to hear you talk about fostering and adoption. I'm not adopted, but we adopted my brother & sister. It's such a wonderful, selfless act. My life has been so enriched by having my siblings in it.
Kaity!!! Your red sweater is wonderful!!!! The color plus that pattern! Gonna look so good on you. Thanks for the cooing;) Such sweet music from a baby. Diana, I KNOW you have bits of mohair hangin' around. Just slip that in your sock heels or where ever they need some tough stuff. Congratulations on all the baby love coming your way. My youngest grand is 18 now. So bittersweet. I homeschooled her for Momma and Daddy. We had our first snow in central Missouri today and she drove to work in it. 😬I hope y'all had a blessed Thanksgiving!❤
So fun to watch the both of you…wish I was sitting in another chair with my knitting and coffee too! Hope you had a wonderful family Christmas this week at the farm! Never want your podcast to end❤
Thanks Diana and Kaity. Our family has been blessed by adoption three times. Duplicate stitch is perfect for correcting those missed stitches. I did not notice the missing stitches in the previous episode. Love all your knitting plans and beautiful yarn. choices. Congratulations on 4,000 subscribers.
I love that you adopted! We had our son by birth and 14 years later adopted our first daughter from China and two years later our second daughter. They are currently 34, 21, and 19. I love babies too, I just love seeing Kaity’s sweet baby on the podcast. ❤
So many beautiful projects! Diana, your Riptide slipover (sigh) - ok, might have to make that one. 😊 Always enjoy watching you two, thank you for another wonderful episode!
Congratulations on 4,000+!!! Such a wonderful way to spend part of my day. Y’all are such a blessing ❤ FYI - I googled it and yes, Slipover is a more English term and Vest is a more American term for basically the same garment. Like Jumper or Sweater 😊
Our family has also been blessed by adoption!!! I also have had the storm sweater on my mind for at least a year. Hoping to cast on in January after I finish my three current sweaters 😅 I’m not good at having so many things in the needles at one time as you all are!
I just binged your last 2 episodes as I have gotten behind on my knitting and You Tube shows. We are moving, and it is quite the process!! At any rate, I just love seeing what you are knitting and the yarns you are using. So many lovely projects!! I am trying to finish up my Christmas projects so I can start my "selfish" knitting!! I have SO much yarn in my stash!! I do believe it is "cast on," and, Kaity, you and your baby are just so sweet!!! Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your large family!!
I just love your podcast. It has quickly become one of my favorites. I've never knit a garment but I love the idea of a slip over / vest. If / when I knit enough socks, I may try a vest. Happy knitting!
Very lovely podcast. Thank you for sharing about your family. So encouraging to value human life. made in the image of God. I was an adoption social worker for a Christian adoption agency for over 20 years and have several adopted children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews representing many, many countries, races and heritages. I have worked with foster/adoption placements, US infants and international adoptions. It was so wonderful hearing your positive words about your family. I also loved your projects! ha
G’day Kaity & Diana, lovely relaxing episode, really enjoyed it. I was so surprised when you mentioned your children Diana I thought you had birthed them all. I remember one of your first episodes talking about your large family didn’t dawn on me at all. That’s because you never differentiate, you refer to them all as your family, they’re all equally loved. I remember thinking WOW birthing and raising all them children Diana you must be so tired 🤣🤣🤣 I get it now, bit slow I know 😀 My working job is as a Foster Carer Support Worker here in South Australia which I’ve so enjoyed for quite some years now. Visiting the Foster Carers is the best part of my job, seeing children develop and thrive in a loving family environment, biological children welcoming and accepting other children into their family says so much about their upbringing. Yes, of course there are challenging days as is natural for all families, it makes the special moments more memorable and appreciated. 🌷🌟🌟🌟🌟🌷
I hope you both had an amazing, joy-filled Thanksgiving! Kaity, Your Slipover by Kirsten Joel may be one you’ll like. Once again, I enjoyed knitting with you ladies.
Always so happy to see you 2. I love both of your garments, you are wearing. I have done one weebles, the blue bird. it got me started on other amigurmi patterns (not woobles). Oh sweet baby boy is here.. what a real joy to be able to see him. thank you. I would love to know, Diana, how many children you have and grandchildren, etc. and, YES, please, I would love to hear the one daughter sing. Please!!! You 2 are so special, I would LOVe to come over. But, I'm clear in Oregon. Love being here with you both. love, hugs, prayers.
I always get a happy feeling when I see you all have posted another video. I so look forward to them. 😊 From what I've heard in the sewing community a vest to those in England is a cami, and I believe a slipover is a vest to them. Kind of like their "biscuits" verses our "cookies" or their "pinafore" verses our "jumper", or, yes, their "jumper" verses our "sweater". (I find the word differences are so intersting.) Anyway, thank you for another calming, inspiring, video.
Oh, that’s why there are so many lol. I was wondering how many kids you must have. Your goodness and calmness shine through in your podcast. It must have been a blessing for a sibling group of kiddos to get into such a stable household. I have to try Knitting for Olive next time. How does it wear?
Thank you for sharing about the adoption. My brother adopted through the foster care and it was a tough one. Diana I love all the green/yellow you knitted and wore. I love that color but the color doesn’t like me.😞. Kaity l think the storm cardigan is wonderful. I do think you should have your family members join you it would be cool to see what they are making. Thanks for another fabulous podcast. Oh another thing I enjoy it when you guys go on a tangent.
hi from Somerset, KY! I am a foster/adoptive mom too. We adopted 2 from the foster system. Fostering and adopting is near and dear to my heart as well. Great knits! I am testing a slipover pattern currently and they are the perfect addition to a wardrobe!
Congratulations on the baby boy. He looks so sweet. I don’t see how you get so much done with three little ones and the big family. I’m in Cincinnati, not far from you. I’m going to be 82 and I knit a lot and have been knitting since I was 17.
Love you two, always enjoy - so down to earth and family - love your vest, that will be my first piece of clothing - a vest, I need to find an easy pattern. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving - From Charleston, SC(the lady near the beach😉)
My daughter and son-in-law were involved in foster care for a number of years, and ended up adopting two of my grandchildren through the foster care system. Such a blessing from God. I love seeing all your projects as usual.
Congratulations on 4,000+!!! Such a wonderful way to spend part of my day. Y’all are such a blessing ❤ FYI - I googled it and yes, Slipover is a more English term and Vest is a more American term for basically the same garment. Like Jumper or Sweater 😊
I’m so thankful for people who are willing to foster and adopt. Your episodes are amazing!
Thank you for sharing your projects and His love..
To fluff up your pom pom hold in a sieve over pan of simmering water and toss around in sieve. Fluffs it up a treat!😊

Agreed that the Woobles are fun and completely do-able! I did the octopus - my granddaughter loved it!

Thanks Diana and Katie for being real and authentic all through your podcast. God bless you for all you do.

I hope you both had an amazing, joy-filled Thanksgiving! Kaity, Your Slipover by Kirsten Joel may be one you’ll like. Once again, I enjoyed knitting with you ladies.
I remember struggling with brioche and thought maybe I was just born without the gene to understand it. Then one day it just clicked and I get it now.
I love your podcasts!! Just listening to you talking about your families and life always puts a smile on my face. Thank you!😊
Fun podcast! Such an active growing family. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I’m getting my Holiday slipover almost done. The armholes are quite large. I love it.
I really love listening to the both of you talking about knitting and your life. Thanks for that and happy thanksgiving to you
4000 snd growing! ❤ Happy Thanksgiving…thankful for you both and your beautiful family and, of course, your knits! 🧶
I bought a wobbles kit for my husband as a gift. They are cute

I would love to hear your thoughts on the Wooble kit. My grandson really wants to learn how to crochet. You made it to 4000! Congratulations!
Your podcasts are such a special treat. 🧶❤️
Ooooo let’s have a Fruitful Hands Kentucky retreat!!❤❤.
I’d love that!
I just found you a😢felt I was there with you quietly knitting away.
Watching you guys is getting expensive. I have now purchased a new sweater pattern (Eva Cardigan), and ordered wobbles for my kids for Christmas:) lol
Kaity, on the red sweater, you could take a piece of yarn and tighten up the loose stitch from the inside
Congratulations on 4k and happy thanksgiving 🦃❤
Hello from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤❤ how close are you to Paducah KY. I have family that lives there.
❤
Congrats on 4000!!!
Duplicate stitch will sort your sweater out in a jiffy x
Yes, Diana, the error on the front of your beautiful sweater will be easily covered over with duplicate stitch. It’s lovely!
👍🏽
Slipover is an sleeveless sweater. A vest has buttons and No sleeves
I love your podcasts but the adverts are excessive. Sorry for the negative comment but they are popping up every few minutes 😢
Congratulations on 4,000+!!! Such a wonderful way to spend part of my day. Y’all are such a blessing ❤
