The brightness and clarity of Ian Paice's drum set shines on, we do enjoy indeed the expressive voice of Ian Gillan's, a true rebirth of Elvis but this time with British diction plus the operatic end of phrase that became the almost school of vocals from 70's Hard Rock to Classic Metal. Wonderful! DP live forever ...in this LP!
This album was pretty much the biggest single influence on pretty much every meaningful musician out there from 1972 up until the end of eighties. Unbelievable piece of rock art, probably the most important album of the entire live rock'n'roll history.

Yes, it is an Akiyama Acura, and it is a Spanish OEM brand, altough it's made in China (of course, eheheh). But this model, like many other OEM TT, including the Audio-Technica AT-LP1240-USB, is based on a made in Taiwan model named Hampin DJ-5500. I believe the differences between different OEM brands are mostly cosmetic. I own a Rega planar 2 with many years, and the only drawback is that the Acura in relation to Rega, has more hum noise, but the Rega has some problems with rotation stability
Audiophiles still exist! Was never satisfied with digital sound but yr recordings seem to have captured most of the "feel" of the analog recordings. How is this possible coming thru on youtube? Haven't heard such distinct top hat in years...not the best but very acceptable. Has digital had a new innovation that I have not heard about or is it just the general upgrade of the format that occurs over time?
MrVinylObsessive I had an Akiyama 2000, wasn’t bad, gave me a number of years of very good service and use (sold it and got a vintage Thorens TD 166). That Aki was 10kg weight, an OEM product that was simply OK, which is a grest thing. That old Acura that you show was by far the best of the Akiyama family, absolutely (not in production anymore). It’s got its fans here in Spain, works very well, sturdy, stable and robust. Rega is great and lovely (try changing the power suply...) but I recomend you keep the Aki Acura, it pays back. Thanks!

Infelizmente nunca tive o previlegio de ouvir uma prensagem japonesa deste LP, mas a julgar pela qualidade com que eles costumam fazer LPs, só posso imaginar que seja muito bom. De qualquer forma, também tenho este trabalho em cd, e ainda assim prefiro esta versão de vinil português.

Tou farto de procurar um Acura e não consigo encontrar nenhum sitio onde comprar, nem na net. Parece que desapareceram todos. Adoro o som das suas gravações!

Mas sendo este um modelo OEM fabricado por uma empresa coreana chamada Hampin, poderá encontrar outros aparelhos identicos sob outras marcas tais como o Audio-Technica AT-LP1240-USB, por exemplo. Repare que eles são muito parecidos, aparte alguns pormenores cosmeticos como a côr e os logos das marcas, etc. O Audio-Technica tem também uma saida USB que este Acura não tem.

Звучание тарелочек у японцев получилось лучше, вот так другая режиссура и другая операторская расстановка микрофонов даёт нам представление о прошедшем, которого уже не вернуть. Слава "японским ушам"!
